The top 10 has a new look after play this summer. Trey’Dez Green Trey’Dez Green 6'8" | PF Zachary | 2024 State #54 Nation LA has assumed the top position with the way he played this summer helping the LA Broncos win the Grind Region finals. Newman big man Todd Jones Todd Jones 6'8" | PF Newman | 2024 State #185 Nation LA moves up to the second position. His interior play and athleticism played a big part in that. Kameron Williams Kameron Williams 6'7" | SF Lafayette Christian | 2024 State #60 Nation LA , the versatile wing from Lafayette Christian, comes in at number three. He may be third but he has the skills to be the top guy before graduation. Southwood 6’9″ forward Jeremiah Evans Jeremiah Evans 6'10" | C Southwood | 2024 State #249 Nation LA is rated as the 4th best player in the class. Not many big men can shoot it and put it on the floor like him at his height. Rounding out the top 5 is combo guard Kohen Rowbatham Kohen Rowbatham 6'1" | CG St. Thomas Aquinas | 2024 State LA . He was a handful all summer and put in work giving defenses fits.
Jayce Depron Jayce Depron 7'5" | CG Madison Prep | 2024 State LA performed well on the UAA circuit and he chimes in at the sixth spot in the rankings. High flying guard Jordan Moore Jordan Moore 6'4" | CG Hahnville | 2024 State LA from Shaun Dumas Academy fills the 7th spot in the rankings. St. Augustine point guard Turner Duncan Turner Duncan 6'3" | PG St. Augustine | 2024 State LA is the newest addition to the top ten as the 8th rated player in the class. Kylan Billiot Kylan Billiot 6'3" | CG Terrebonne | 2024 State LA , the Terrebone football and basketball star, remains in the top ten at ninth while New Iberia wing Wayne Randall-Bashay Wayne Randall-Bashay 6'4" | SF New Iberia | 2024 State LA closes out the top ten in the last spot.
Stock Risers in the 2024 Class
There were some very good players who saw their stock rise over the summer. Along with Turner Duncan Turner Duncan 6'3" | PG St. Augustine | 2024 State LA , a large number of players had their rankings improve. Here are some of the notable Louisiana preps that saw their ranking improve.
Allen Graves Allen Graves 6'9" | PF Ponchatoula | 2024 State LA (6’8″ | Ponchatoula | 11th) – the forward from Ponchatoula is an inside and outside threat; he scores from anywhere on the floor
Javonte Thomas Javonte Thomas 6'6" | PF Pineville | 2024 State LA (6’6″ | Pineville | 14th) – versatile forward who can be a real force on both ends of the floor
Jordan Comanche Jordan Comanche 6'6" | CG Wossman | 2024 State LA (6’5″ | Wossman | 15th) – Wildcat point guard is growing into his own; the more aggressive he is, the better his team plays
Jaylen Peters Jaylen Peters 6'5" | SF Liberty Magnet | 2024 State LA (6’4″ | Liberty | 22nd) – the high flying forward from Liberty has the athleticism to be a very special player once he fine tunes his perimeter game
Michael Mouton Michael Mouton 6'5" | SG St. Thomas More | 2024 State LA (6’4″ | St. Thomas More | 32nd) – skilled forward who can rebound and shoot the ball very well from the perimeter
Jeremiah Lewis Jeremiah Lewis 6'3" | SG Ponchatoula | 2024 State LA (6’1″ | Ponchatoula | 36th) – athletic guard who can score at all three levels; when he is on from three, he is very hard to contain
Additions
Malik Miner Malik Miner 6'9" | PF John F. Kennedy | 2024 State LA , the John F. Kennedy forward, was the most notable addition to be added to the rankings as he became a top 20 player coming in at 16th. He is followed by athletic forwards Quentin Dabney Quentin Dabney 6'5" | SF Madison Prep | 2024 State LA of Madison Prep and Christian Creppel Christian Creppel 6'5" | SF Archbishop Shaw | 2024 State LA of Archbishop Shaw. They are two of the more athletic wings in this class. Guards Romelo Joseph Romelo Joseph 6'2" | PG Lafayette | 2024 State LA (Lafayette) and Maurice Carson Maurice Carson 5'11" | PG Southwood | 2024 State LA (Southwood) are other notable newcomers to the rankings.
