Jordan has been playing at the varsity level for a couple of seasons already and is in line for a much bigger role at South Laurel this season. Coming off a solid AAU season, Mabe keeps growing and his frame is filling out as he’s bulking up. Jordan is a good shooter at 6’7 and capable of pulling bigger defenders away from the basket and driving on them.
Highlights
Chance earned a lot of playing time last season and is likely to be a starter at point guard this year. Dillingham can shoot the ball well and has grown and started to add some muscle. That should help a ton with his finishing around the rim. At the end of the day, Chance is a creator who should have a ton of assists this season.
After losing Quel’ron House Quel’ron House 5’11” | PG Seneca | 2024 State KY to transfer this fall, Ballard suddenly has a gaping hole at the point guard spot. Enter Nate Richardson Nate Richardson 5’8″ | PG Ballard | 2025 State KY who was just waiting on an opportunity. Nate is very quick with a tight handle on the ball and has shown a willingness to facilitate the offense instead of forcing his own.
Clinton County won a lot of games last season but also lost a ton to graduation. As a result, Young should go from minor role player to starter for the Bulldogs. Cannon is a big body at 6’6 but has lost a bunch of weight over the summer and that should help his mobility on both ends of the court.
Quisenberry transferred to Boyle from Garrard County this summer and while his future is likely on the football field, he’s a good basketball player too. After averaging 18 points per game last season, Montavin should get more open looks at Boyle as he’ll have more talent around him on the floor.
