Will Hornseth Will Hornseth 6'8" | PF De Pere | 2024 State #208 Nation WI — De Pere
De Pere has a chance to hoist the Gold Ball at the end of this season. And a lot of the Redbirds’ success is going to be put on the shoulders of Hornseth. The 2024 power forward is coming off an excellent AAU spring/summer, and he is poised to have a monster junior campaign. Recently, I have been very impressed with Hornseth’s ability to step outside and convert on tough jumpers. In addition to being a budding shooter, the PF has long been a very good rebounder and finisher around the rim. If he continues to improve, I expect college programs to be all over the De Pere standout.
Jack Daugherty Jack Daugherty 6'8" | PF Brookfield Central | 2024 State #311 Nation WI — Brookfield Central
If Brookfield Central wants to continue to be mentioned as one of the best programs in the state of Wisconsin, Daugherty is going to have to step up. The power forward recently received his first Division One scholarship offer from Illinois State. Many more could be on the way if he has a solid junior season. Daugherty is a dead-eye three-point shooter who does a really good job of moving without the ball. Defending the PF must be a nightmare because he is never stationary. Daugherty is always moving and working to get off an open shot.
Sam Mickelson Sam Mickelson 6'7" | PF Madison Memorial | 2024 State WI — Madison Memorial
This past AAU season, Mickelson was able to do a lot of positive things. He proved to PHW that he is one of the top power forwards in the state, regardless of class. On the offensive end of the court, Mickelson is a versatile, dangerous weapon who can complete some impressive plays. He can use his size to get buckets in the paint or step outside and convert on jump shots. If he continues to develop, Mickelson could become a big-time matchup problem. Look for the Madison Memorial standout to have another productive high school season.
M.J. Stackhouse M.J. Stackhouse 6'7" | PF Kenosha Indian Trail | 2024 State WI — Kenosha Indian Trail
Stackhouse was one of the biggest risers in the rankings from this past AAU season. Playing against top competition on the EYBL circuit, the power forward proved that he deserves to be included in discussions when talking about top players in Wisconsin. On the offensive end of the court, Stackhouse can knock down mid range jump shots with ease. On defense, the PF is very physical and a great shot-blocker.
Robert Booker Robert Booker 6'7" | PF Waunakee | 2024 WI — Waunakee
I have really liked what Booker has been able to do on the court recently. The power forward has the potential to do some great things as a basketball player. He came off the bench for Waunakee last season and was able to provide his squad with some great play. Booker is a strong, physical prospect who does a really nice job of using his strength to overpower opposing defenders in the paint.
Jonathan O’Neil — Kaukauna
O’Neil was the perfect role player for Wisconsin Blizzard 16U this past season. The power forward wasn’t the first scoring option, but he certainly made the most out of his opportunities when they came. O’Neil is a really great rebounder on both ends of the court. It doesn’t matter how many opposing players are standing in front of him, O’Neil is always going to crash the glass hard.
