He brought tons of physicality and oftentimes dominated other high caliber bigs with his presence. He’s a highly competitive player and won’t turn down a challenge. A major factor on the boards and tough to break down on the defensive end, he also brings some upside on offense as a powerful finisher and that part of his game figures to be showcased more with the Bulldogs this coming season, as Garfield used 6’7 sharpshooter Kenzel Massey (22′, NKTC) in place of him more often than not last season.
Highlights
Previous Rank: #32 — Very deserving of a spot in the top-25, Myles Daymon Myles Daymon 6’1″ | PG Garfield | 2023 State WA took off this summer after a solid season as a main contributor for Rainer Beach. He’ll make the move to Garfield this year and presumably take over a starting guard spot left behind by University of Washington’s Koren Johnson. Myles fits the mascot of the team he’ll compete for as a true bulldog of a guard. He’s smooth and strong with the basketball and has a consistently clean left-handed stroke on his jumper. He can navigate so well in half court settings and is capable of carrying his team offensively if needed.
No Previous Rank (Out of State) — Drawing major D-1 interest over the last few seasons, the Portland, Maine product is deserving of a top-10 spot in our update since moving to Washington to attend BFL Prep. He has coveted skills at the next level and is one of the most physically ready players out there. With the willingness and ability to guard all positions, see the floor at his size, and overall presence on the glass, he’s a fun prospect to watch work. His motor doesn’t stop and his impact on the game is immense.
Previous Rank: #31 — Nahmier Robinson Nahmier Robinson 5’10” | PG Skyline | 2023 State WA ‘s late-summer shift to Skyline High was a surprising one, but the 5’10 speedster is set for a key role for the Spartans as we draw closer to the return of high school ball. By the end of spring/summer circuits, Nahmier was one of the more improved prospects in the 2023 class. He is one of the most challenging guards to stop in the open court with his quickness and dribble moves. He’s getting more consistent as a scorer too, with the ability to free himself up for shots, or draw defenses near him to find open cutters and rollers.
Previous Rank: #26 — One of the best players north of Seattle and one of the most complete guards in the state, Parker Baumann Parker Baumann 6’5″ | CG Shorecrest | 2023 State WA looked the part all summer with BDH Elite after he tore it up as a junior for Shorecrest (20 ppg, 9 rpg, 6apg; 1st Team All-Wesco). Parker is a smart and highly-skilled guard with the ideal size at 6-foot-5. The Western Oregon commit has shown that he’s a two-way player, a great decision maker and offensive leader. He exhibits the phrase, “take what the defense gives you”.

Previous Rank: #33 — Over the last year, Williams has continued to surge into a Division-1 level type prospect. He’s one of the most versatile players in his class at 6’6. He is truly position-less. He has an old school face-up game with the speed to spin past multiple defenders in the paint. He’s a sneaky ballhandler and passer with the ability to finish at the rim with either hand, and an absolute rebound hawk. He’s an easy early favorite for the 4A Wesco MVP after averaging 18ppg and 14 rpg per outing last season.
Previous Rank: #46 — As the sixth and final top-25 newcomer, Gallagher made some waves during summer ball. The multi-faceted guard/wing makes simple, yet effective plays with great shot-making tools off the dribble. He’ll have the chance to prove that he’s a First-Team All League type player in the KingCo conference as Liberty’s go-to guy. With the way he plays, its easy to tell he has a solid feel for the game and things are clicking for him.
