I saw, this kid play at the Battle of the Border Tournament in Longview. He doesn’t look like an incoming freshman at all. He doesn’t play like one either. He’s got good size, he’s strong, and maybe more impressive was his feel for the game. He was in the right spot at the right time and can knock down shots at a high percentage with his soft touch. He’s fearless and will take his hits on the way to the basket. He’s a good passer, and just seems to really understand the game well. He’s got the potential to develop into a great player and should have a big impact at the varsity level in 2023 for Skyline.

He should step in and contribute right away for a Life Christian team that lost a lot of production from last year. He’s ultra, talented and one of the best PGs in the class of 2026. He can shoot, score off the dribble, and get to the rim. He will be a solid piece next year for Life Christian as they look to reload. He’s got star power written all over him.
Uodate – Since writing this article he has transferred to Lincoln high school of Tacoma, so he will be be teammates with Isaiah Cunningham Isaiah Cunningham 6’4″ | SG O’Dea | 2025 State WA for the next three years. Moving from the 1A level to the 3A level will give him a chance to showcase his talents on a bigger stage, playing for a team with a rich basketball tradition. This should be an exciting backcourt to follow with a whole lot of potential. Next season they will be playing next to senior leader, Gabarri Johnson Gabarri Johnson 5’11” | CG Lincoln | 2023 State WA , the Missouri football commit and multi-year starter in hoops

This, is, a kid who recently received an offer from Eastern Washington University, yet not many people are aware of what he can do. He’s got some of the deepest range I have seen for a kid in any class and is a phenomenal shooter. He’s got a good feel for his game and uses that to set up his teammates or find his own shots. Either way, he’s starting to turn heads and will team up with Kofi Peyton Kofi Peyton 6’4″ | SG Federal Way | 2024 State WA , to form a new backcourt at Federal Way. One that will be extremely tough in 2023.
This is probably the most widely known of all the players in this article.. After transferring from Rainier Beach to Lincoln over the summer, he will get his chance to make a huge splash at the varsity level in 2023. Coming off some strong summer performances, he is already carving out his role as a go to player next year. I’ve written about his quickness, ability to get his own shot, and lock down defense. He does those things extremely well.
Highlights
He is a fun one to watch, and should be poised to take over the point guard duties for Eastside Catholic. He can really shake the defense with his dribble, which often leads to either a layup or a pull up jumper. He is excellent at the mid-range pull up. When I watched him in Bellevue earlier this year, he showed a relentless ability to attack the defense, keeping them on their heels. He was great at getting downhill and as I mentioned, his pull-up was outstanding. He definitely had a great feel for the flow of the game, much of which he controlled by doing whatever he wanted with the ball in his hands.
Highlights
He was my MVP at the West Coast Clash 15u tournament in Centralia. He showed a lot of versatility, and an ability to get himself to the hoop with strong drives. At 6’2, he can play either the off guard or small forward spot but he’s best at going downhill and finishing with spin moves in the lane. He was also an effective rebounder and one of the better athletes in the 15u division. With the departure of Miles Gurske Miles Gurske 6’0″ | PG Rainier Beach | 2023 State WA to Rainier Beach, he should be counted on even more as a weapon on the offensive side of the ball in 2023. He’ll be playing along big time prospect Brooklyn Hicks Brooklyn Hicks 6’3″ | CG Timberline | 2023 State #168 Nation WA , which will free him up to get more looks in 2023.
