Utah’s Top 50 League

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Utah's Top 50 Elite League is back at it as they look to secure some of the best players in the state as they form a league that gives players great competition in September while they wait for high school season to get underway. Last seaosn they brought in a few players that really excelled their senior year and some even landed on college rosters. Players like Kam DuPiax, Brady Smith, Luke Moir, Sam Sivulich, Tyler Burraston and McCoy Langston just to name a few. <img class="wp-image-1541739" style="width: 150px;" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2022/08/Screen-Shot-2022-08-10-at-11.46.14-AM.png" alt=""></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This year the field has been set with a tone as a few of the top players in the state have already confirmed that they will play. Here are 10 players that have been selected thus far. We will cover the next 10 when they are out. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='934030' first='Quentin' last='Meza'] || Cyprus High School || 2023 ||</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>20.4 PPG 8.2 APG</strong>: Quentin is a next level scorer in this is a perfect platform for him to showcase not only his scoring ability but playmaking ability as well. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='934031' first='James' last='Rust'] || Timpview High School || 2023 ||</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>James will find different ways to score but he does not rely on the outside shot but he is one of the better players that moves without the ball in his hands. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='934036' first='Chudi' last='Anosike'] || Murray High School || 2023 ||</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>24.5 PPG</strong>: This kid is a scoring guard that will take what you give him and every once in awhile he will simply go after what he wants. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='934027' first='Mason' last='Bendinger'] || Woods Cross High School || 2023 ||</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>18.7 PPG</strong>: Bully in the mid-post and he has really put together a back tp the basket bag that he goes to . </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='935898' first='Kaden' last='Ericksen'] || Syracuse High School || 2023 ||</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kaden is going to surprise those that don't know because he is a true next level player. This is a great opportunity for him to put himself on the map in Utah as he will measure himself up against some other good players. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1057020' first='Jordan' last='Barnes'] || Olympus High School || 2024 ||</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>9.8 APG</strong>: Arguably the best PG in the state regardless of class. Will likely average 10 assist and 20 PPG is the summer is an indicator of what we will se from him and Olympus. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='934037' first='Jaxson' last='Workman'] || Murray High School || 2023 ||</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Underrated shooter and this kid is out there casting and they fall for him from deep too. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1057041' first='KJ' last='Miller'] || Layton High School || 2024 ||</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>KJ has the three-level scoring down and he will have another opportunity to do it against some of the best in the state. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1057034' first='Dutch' last='Dowdell'] || Olympus High School || 2024 ||</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>19.6 PPG</strong>: Not too many players can shoot like Dutch and have that positional size. Look for him to use his shooting to get to the rim more this year. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1235094' first='Jagger' last='Francom'] || Ridgeline High School || 2024 ||</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Jagger will put himself on the map as he will be a tough cover and he plays both ends of the floor. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Not a bad start as you likely have the two best scoring player in the state in [player_tooltip player_id='934030' first='Quentin' last='Meza'] and [player_tooltip player_id='934036' first='Chudi' last='Anosike'] on the list. Then you have big time shooters like [player_tooltip player_id='1057034' first='Dutch' last='Dowdell'], [player_tooltip player_id='934037' first='Jaxson' last='Workman'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1057041' first='KJ' last='Miller'] out in the perimeter. [player_tooltip player_id='1235094' first='Jagger' last='Francom'] is an underrated big and if he were on a 6A team he would have more hype around him. [player_tooltip player_id='934027' first='Mason' last='Bendinger'] and [player_tooltip player_id='934031' first='James' last='Rust'] always find ways to score and contribute across the stat sheet. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
