Nick Valentino Nick Valentino 6'0" | PG Red Bank Regional | 2023 State NJ | 6’2” | G | Red Bank Regional
An “out of nowhere” player who exploded on the scene last winter and shouldered the load for RBR by scoring nearly 500 pts. He has a well developed frame physically and gets to the basket confidently and uses his 200lb build to finish through contact. He’s an excellent shooter who has a fantastic form and good release point. A player with good positional awareness and a high basketball IQ. He could compete for first team All Shore as a senior. He had a plethora of big games as a junior, including 26 vs Keyport, 22 vs Manasquan and a double dip on SJV(23,21). He should be one of the most sought after 2023s at the Shore this coming winter.
Collin Teter Collin Teter 6'3" | SG Red Bank Reg | 2023 State NJ | 6’3” | G | Red Bank Regional
Teter also returns to give RBR added firepower in the backcourt. He’s a versatile player who can float around on the perimeter but also has the ability to battle in the post and play with his back to the basket on offense. Teter had several good games as a junior, including 18 vs Mon Don and SJV. With his high GPA, he should be of interest to academic D3s.
Jordan Winnik Jordan Winnik 6'2" | CG St. John Vianney | 2023 State NJ | 6’2” | G | Saint John Vianney
After playing a more supportive role for the Lancers as a junior, Winnik will be tasked with replacing star player Nate Williams. Winnik can facilitate and handles the ball well. He’s got a strong game attacking the rim and can finish through contact. He’s also got a good ability to pull up behind the arc. He should be a first team all division player.
Isaac Hester Isaac Hester 6'0" | PG Ranney School | 2023 State NJ | 6’0” | G | Ranney
As the top senior at the Shore this coming season, Hester will have much media and fan focus around him. He’s a versatile guard who can attack the rim off the dribble and can also light up teams from three point range. He showed excellent poise and maturity when Ranney’s senior heavy lineup lost its leaders to transfer. He played facilitator, scorer, rebounder and emotional leader for the Panthers. His best game of the year was against Trenton Catholic in states, going off for 20. He has interest from several D1 programs.
Josh Michigan Josh Michigan 6'4" | SG Compass Prep | 2024 State NJ | 6’4” | G | Brick Memorial
Expect a big senior year from Michigan as he drives the bus for a Brick Memorial team that returns quite a bit and should still be very competitive in spite of graduating Luke Braaten. Michigan carried his strong junior season into the summer and showed an expanded range as a shooter and his game getting at the rim continues to develop. He’s a coachable kid with a great basketball mind. He will be a contender for First Team All Shore honors this winter and push for 1,000 pts.
