Continue ReadingThis list will continue to grow as the 2025’s will likely get a shot at some varsity time and with some school sin the 5A and 6A ranks that completely lost a lot of their starters and rotation players these 2025’s will have an opportunity to really prove their next level playing ability. Most will be dominating the JV level but that Varsity level is a big jump for a lot of these youngsters. Here are a few players that have impressed enough to raise their stock.
6’7 C Chamberlain Burgess Chamberlain Burgess 6'9" | PF Lone Peak | 2025 State #214 Nation UT || Lone Peak High School || 2025 ||
Let’s think long term here. Chamberlain is still raw and he has some things to work on but he projects well as he matures and gains strength and improves his shooting and finishing ability. You know what they say, “you cant teach height”. Look for Chamberlain to build on a good ending to this years grassroots season. He has gotten that timing down to his attempted block shots and he is getting rid of the ball on rebounds faster and running the floor. Look for him to make some impactful plays for Lone Peak this coming year.
6’5 G Charlie Smith Charlie Smith 6'5" | SG Bountiful | 2025 State UT || Bountiful High School || 2025 ||
Charlie is a do it all guard with some good size. He can score the ball and he is getting quicker. He has a good pace to his game and he is a threat off the bounce and in spot up situations as he can line those long balls up. Smart and smooth game in the paint and he has a high IQ. Could really be a piece that Bountiful could use to get back in the thick of things in 5A.
6’6 F Ike Staley Ike Staley 6'6" | SG Lone Peak | 2025 State UT || Lone peak High School || 2025 ||
Ike has a lot of upside as he is a big that can really transition into a wing. Ike has been dominating the paint and block areas the past few years against players his age but has recently developed that outside perimeter game. Although he has size at the next level he would transition to a 3 that can stretch the floor with that improved shooting. He is a high motor and strong player that will be an solid piece in Lone Peak’s success, especially in a brutal region.
6’3 CG Ollie Soulier Ollie Soulier 6'3" | CG RSL Academy | 2025 State UT || RSL Academy || 2025 ||
Ollie is a solid guard prospect that has a little bit of everything a guard needs to have success at the high school level. He has a fluid handle and he has some wiggle to his game. Ollie sets up those jumpers off the bounce nicely as he changes speed and is always ready to shoot. RSL continues to add solid next level players to their roster and he could crack the rotation as a solid guard. Stay tuned.
