A lightning quick guard with a lightning quick release. He stepped up in a big way during the post-season last year. Helping lead Mount Si to a second place finish at the state tournament. As a sophomore he was impressive and not afraid of the moment. He played with the confidence and poise of a senior. He’s one of the quickest guards in the state, if not the quickest. He does everything at a different speed than most. He has a quick trigger from deep, and showed the ability to get into the lane at will with a nice high arching floater. Mount Si will be loaded again next year and there are plenty of scoring options to choose from. He will be one of them, but also has the ability to recognize the defense and get the ball to the right people at the right time. He will break off some huge runs in the scoring column with his skill set.
Another in the class of 2024 that burst onto the scene last season as one of the better point guards in the state. He’s got everything you want in a point guard. He takes care of the ball. He can be a dangerous weapon with his scoring abilities, and he plays with a poise beyond his years. He’s a tough competitor who can score from all levels. He is a smart player and a true floor general with a high basketball IQ. He’s one of the most skilled ball handlers in the state. His tight handles and quickness allow him to get his own shot whenever he wants to. He has unlimited range and a quick release, making him a threat to score on all levels. He is a leader and has a state championship under his belt from last season. Another high IQ player who makes his teammates better. He will be counted on to score more next season after losing some key players. He won’t have any problem doing that.
He’s been the starting point guard since his freshman year and has played with some talented players who are gone now. He will step up and be more of a scorer next season. He’s a great facilitating point guard, with good size. He sees the floor extremely well and always has his head up. He doesn’t make many mistakes and is solid with the ball in his hands. He can also score from all levels and gets himself to the rim. He will be a big time player next season. North Kitsap will go as he goes. With his skill set that could be deep into the post – season.
Highlights
The best player in the state in all classes in my opinion. He’s a big time prospect whose stock is rising nationally. Coming off a state championship, where he took over the game at times as a sophomore. He doesn’t have any weaknesses. He excels at getting to the basket and finishing. He’s strong and can take the contact. He changes speeds extremely well and sets up the defense to his advantage. He’s also an underrated shooter and that will only get better. He should have his choice of colleges by the time he’s done. Curtis will again be a favorite to win it all with the best player in the state.
