Japheth earned his second consecutive @PrepHoopsTN All-Star appearance. In the last year, Richmond really expanded his game to include ball-handling and press-breaking.
His development as a hooper suggests he will play anywhere from the 2-4 at the college level. The defensive mobility is not quite there to check for a college shooting guard.
Richmond is a silky left-handed forward with the ability to step away to 8′ and hit a face-up jump shot if asked. His rebounding is pretty sound and he can play above the rim.
Speed is average compared to future college wings and wing forwards (3.8, 3.9 seconds), but the Lane Agility lagged a bit (11.78, 11.50) behind the mean.
Adept at running the floor and finishing with grace.

Somto is undeniably a future pro.
The measurements are insane. He is all of 6-foot-10 with an extraordinary leaping ability and second-jump quickness. His sprint times of 3.9 and 3.8 sorted right in line with the 6-foot-3 players. His Lane Agility was a staggering 10.49 his second time through! Most campers improved on this drill the second time, as they understood the mechanics and movements much better. Somto did too.
His greatest shortcoming is mid-range shooting touch. He is nowhere near the shooter that former HHCA big Felix Okpara was. He is more of a rebounding king with otherworldly power. He is ranked the #1 player in our 2024 class for a reason. This event did nothing to disprove his dominance in high school and capabilities beyond.
