Nearly 200 of the top Class of 2026 prospects in the state took part in the event with a ton of area scouts and AAU coaches taking in all of the action. Our team at Prep Hoops Indiana including myself, Kyler Staley, and Landon Bundy will be putting out an evaluation of every single prospect in attendance throughout the course of this week. Let’s dive on into breaking down the prospects on Team 8.
This smaller point guard impressed on Sunday at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase with his quickness and ball handling ability in the backcourt. He can push the pace in transition, makes good decisions in the open floor, and is a good passer.
Mullins is a 5’8″ shooting guard that has a smooth shooting stroke from beyond the arc. He understands how to play and moves well to get open off of the ball when working around screening action and cutting. Should really develop into a good shooting threat as he grows.
A 5’9″ point guard from Triton Central High School, Sego had a productive day at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase on Monday. He handles the ball well against pressure, plays without turning it over, and displays good court vision as a lead guard.
One of a handful of talented freshman that came to the showcase from Gary West Side, Holmes is a talented 5’10” shooter that can play either guard spot in the backcourt. His sweet left-handed stroke was on full display on Sunday.
Avery is a 6’0″ point guard with some physical strength to go along with long arms at his position. He can be disruptive on the defensive end, handles the ball well in transition, and proved to be a sound decision-maker on Sunday at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase.
This 6’4″ fluid athlete showcased a very versatile skill set throughout the day on Sunday. Prior moves well off of the ball, proved to be an excellent shooter, and has a good all-around skill set. He will have a chance to have a productive freshman season for Heritage Hills.
