Nearly 200 of the top Class of 2026 prospects in the state took part in the event with a ton of area scouts and AAU coaches taking in all of the action. Our team at Prep Hoops Indiana including myself, Kyler Staley, and Landon Bundy will be putting out an evaluation of every single prospect in attendance throughout the course of this week. Let’s dive on into breaking down the prospects on Team 13.
In terms of physical tools, this 6’2″ wing has everything you would want for a freshman in high school. Elmore has a strong, athletic frame, displayed good ball handling ability, and got to the rim consistently where he finished at a higher percentage. Played very well on Sunday at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase.
Thompson is a smaller point guard at 5’6″ but displays quick driving ability and a tight handle when initiating the offense. He has good court vision, played without turning it over, and showed a solid intermediate game with pull-ups and floaters.
Thomas is very talented with the ball in his hands. He has a really good left-to-right crossover that he uses to penetrate the defense and a consistent jump shot that he uses to change pace on the way to the rim. One of the more talented guards we had in the gym on Sunday.
Anslinger is a 5’11” guard from Evansville Reitz that has very good catch-and-shoot ability. His footwork is sound on the perimeter and he plays with his hands ready at all times. Good day from beyond the arc on Sunday.
A talented 6’0″ guard that can play both on and off the ball in the backcourt, Nickols showed his offensive versatility throughout the event on Sunday. He can knock down outside shots, attack the basket, and held his own defensively on the ball as well.
Malloy is an athletic 6’1″ guard that displays great body control when taking the ball to the basket. He is a strong driver that can take on contact and still finish at the rim. Shot the ball from the perimeter as well. Talented, versatile scorer.
