Jaden Steppe Jaden Steppe 6'8" | SF Tualatin | 2024 State #289 Nation OR (2024 Tualatin)
In the games we watched Steppe play, the rising junior focused on facing the basket. He was effective creating off the dribble and finishing around the hoop but also showed off his shooting touch by hitting a number of perimeter jumpers. You could say Steppe was the big winner of the day as Portland State offered him a scholarship at camp’s end.
Aidan Rice Aidan Rice 6'2" | PG Beaverton | 2024 State OR (2024 Beaverton)
Starting with the state tournament, Rice has really come into his own as a shooter and scorer and that was on display at camp. The wing knocked down some deep catch and shoot threes but also did some damage off the bounce and scoring near the hoop.
TJ Latu TJ Latu 6'3" | CG Jefferson | 2024 State OR (2024 Jefferson)
Latu immediately caught our eye in the drills as his soft lefty shot was on automatic from distance. During game play he didn’t get as many opportunities to show off that stroke but he was strong with the basketball and creating for others, often initiating the offense running the point.
Chance Winter Chance Winter 6'10" | C Beaverton | 2024 State OR (2024 Glencoe)
It was good to see Winter play in an environment against other bigs. While it’s clear he’s still developing offensively and will need to add weight to establish position on the block, defensively he performed at a high level. His length and timing allowed him to block shots both in the paint and running out to the perimeter to hamper shooters.
Tyler Curvy Tyler Curvy 5'10" | CG Jesuit | 2024 State OR (2024 Jesuit)
Curvy has seldom been flashy in the action we’ve seen him play this summer, whether it was with Jesuit in June or with the Oregon Prospects. The junior point guard simply played turnover free basketball, looked to keep the offense moving, and hit the open shot when he was given the opportunity.
