Try as we might there are going to be some players that I just didn’t get to see enough. With the upcoming rankings set to be released soon, there are several incoming sophomores that I simply need to see more of.
Kevan Wilkins Kevan Wilkins 6'4" | SF Red Rock | 2025 State NV 6’3 SG Valley (featured image) (#6PHN) – I may have only caught one game of his this summer. Wilkins is going to be in the running for one of the top shooters in the state. I’m looking to see what else he’s added to his game.
Conner Sheets Conner Sheets 6'1" | CG Spanish Springs | 2025 CA-N 6’0 PG Spanish Springs (#9PHN) – Haven’t seen Sheets play at all during the Summer. He has a good combination of skill and IQ, looking to see if there has been any physical development to his frame.
Tremayne Anderson Tremayne Anderson 6'6" | SF Las Vegas | 2025 State NV 6’7 SF Trinity (#8PHN) – Haven’t had the chance to catch Anderson at all this summer. His size and length have led him to be known as a player with tremendous upside. Need to confirm his final school, as well as check out the overall improvement of his skills.
Tayshaun Jackson Tayshaun Jackson 5'7" | PG Las Vegas | 2025 State NV 5’7 PG Las Vegas (#14PHN) – Seen Jackson at gyms, just haven’t actually watched him play enough. Spoiler alert, he will be making my preseason 1st team all-defensive team. Obviously looking to see if he’s grown from freshman to sophomore year, as well as what new skills he’s bringing to the table.
Lantz Stephenson Lantz Stephenson 6'7" | SF Coronado | 2025 State NV 6’4 SF Coronado (#30PHN) – Saw him briefly at a Hustle Region Circuit event in the Spring. I was impressed with his development then, and now am looking to see how much more his game has improved. He’s a physical specimen with good tools, simply refining his jumper and strengthing his strong hand alone will give him the potential to rise.
Qualib Ghallab Qualib Ghallab 6'6" | C Chaparral | 2025 State NV 6’6 PF Chaparral (#25PHN) – Haven’t seen any of the big fella during the Summer. The lefty is incredibly skilled and has decent feet. For a player of his size, I’m looking to check his conditioning, and ability to hedge and switch ball screens.
Xavier Shufford Xavier Shufford 6'5" | C Valley | 2025 State NV 6’5 C Valley (#38PHN) – Haven’t had the opportunity to watch Shufford over the summer, but he caught my eye towards the end of the high school season. He has size and mobility, I want to see if he’s added to his offensive package, which includes overall improvement of his hands.
Ladanian Ivery Ladanian Ivery 5'9" | PG Centennial | 2025 State NV 5’9 PG Valley (#41PHN) – Haven’t caught Ivory this summer. He was one of my favorite freshmen to watch last year, as the jitterbug PG plays with a ton of confidence. Looking to see improved accuracy in his three-point shooting, as well as to evaluate his overall floor generalship.
Cru Dannels Cru Dannels 5'10" | PG Palo Verde | 2025 State NV 5’10 PG Palo Verde (#45PHN) – It’s been since the regular season, that I last saw Dannels. The PG plays with a ton of moxie and toughness, showing a willingness to sacrifice his body for a bucket. Looking for physical growth along with an improvement in his overall perimeter skills.
Jack Walker Jack Walker 6'5" | PF Boulder City | 2025 State NV 6’2 PF Boulder City (#51PHN) – Jack is a player that I was introduced to by BC coaching legend John Balistere. He has good size for the 3A level, rebounds well, and plays hard. He cut his teeth playing JV last season, I’m looking to see an improved basketball IQ, along with overall skill development.
