Games were competitive all day and several players burst on the scene for the first time. Here’s a look at some of the top playmakers at the event.
McRoberts showed an advanced skill set and a knack for getting to the rim but did have some issues finishing through contact. Jakobi has a good handle and was able to get into the paint all day long on Saturday. He’ll compete for playing time on a loaded DeSales roster this season.

Harrison is a new name to me but showed a lot of skills on Saturday and made several tough finishes at the rim. Able to get buckets off the bounce and finish with either hand from tough angles, Dayvone is only going to get better as he gets stronger. He’ll also need to keep working on his jumper to be a more consistent outside threat.

One of my favorite players coming out of the event, Sam was fun to watch and played one of the least selfish days of any prospect I saw. Spillman is quick and a fantastic passer. He’s got the potential to be a really good floor general type of point guard as he gets older. Spillman is a growth spurt away from being a legitimate scholarship level prospect.
Adair has a good young guard with Gilbert and he’s going to have a chance to make a big impact in his freshman season. Dawson made shots from all over but also showed he can get into the paint and is a good decision maker with the basketball. He showed he can move without the ball and also put in effort on defense while not everyone was interested in guarding anyone on Saturday.

Gude likely made the longest drive of anyone at camp and it was worth it for him to show he can compete against some of the best in his class. Davaree is a big bodied guard with an above average handle and showed the ability to score the ball in the paint and especially when taking contact like many others at camp could not. Look for the Trigg County guard to make an impact early and often as a freshman.
Louisville Male is going to need some young players ready to contribute this season and Cornelius looked like he may be ready to play a role for the Bulldogs this year. Barnett is a well built guard who excelled at finishing at the rim. He didn’t take a ton of shots from range but his mechanics look like he can be a capable shooter. Barnett is athletic enough to be a terror on a pressing team like Male has shown they can be.
