“Every coach tells you “you’re the one”, but I felt it with Ole Miss.”
The nearly 6’9 wing brings a varied skillset, positional size, and a ton of potential to the top 50 recruiting class. Ole Miss is infusing size into their frontcourt with 6’8 Jacob Gazzo, 6’9 Rashaud Marshall, and Burks.
“(I’ll be) a workhorse. I’ll work no matter the time or day. Success is what I want, whether on the court or in class. I want to give my all to the work. Even on my off days, I want to give my all, so I don’t have an excuse. I’d rather give my all than not learn a lesson.”
With that, Jordan’s massive upside should be attainable at Ole Miss. As an athletic and size mismatch, Burks can play on the perimeter while taking advantage of smaller players in the paint.
“(At Ole Miss) I want to develop my body and mindset on the game. Get strong. Become more of a man in everything.”
Jordan will suit up for recently founded prep school Kingsman Academy. They haven’t released a schedule yet, but there have been rumblings of high-profile matchups that will challenge their talented roster.
When I asked Jordan what his goals are for his last high school season, he replied, “Be a great teammate, win every game, mature my game, and understand my role.”
