Will Surdez Will Surdez 6'3" | CG Colts Neck | 2023 State NJ | 6’3” | G| Colts Neck
A three sport athlete who is most sought after on the football field. He uses that toughness from the gridiron to be a very physical guard. His athleticism allows him to explode off the dribble. He’s god a solid mid range game and can also battle his way to the rim with his muscular 210 lb frame. Surdez is about 400 pts away from 1,000 and would be a lock if not for the ‘Rona shortened year. He could get there though, as his junior year was a breakout season. He had 26 vs Keyport, 25 vs Lacey and 24 vs Middletown North and Matawan. He’s an all shore candidate in multiple sports. Football future, but could very well flip over and play basketball in college if he wanted to without any problem.
Keith Adame Keith Adame 6'1" | CG Jackson Memorial | 2023 State NJ | G | Jackson Memorial
A hard nosed player who can break down defenders off the dribble and can battle through contact on his way to the rim. He can also extend his range to the three point line and hustles on defense. He’ll be part of a talented backcourt trio for Jackson this coming winter.
Quinn Peters Quinn Peters 6'7" | PF Manasquan | 2023 State NJ | 6’6” | F | Manasquan
Manasquan has developed a program with a seemingly never ending talent pool over the last 20 years and has a variety of talents coming back this year. Peters will be a senior leader on what is still a fairly young team in terms of who the stars are. He’s a versatile big man who can play in the paint but showed this summer on the AAU circuit that he’s very comfortable letting it rip from deep with accuracy. He’s got a high release point on his jumper which makes him tough to defend. He’ll be an important player for Manasquan this winter.
Colin Haluska Colin Haluska 6'3" | SF Matawan | 2023 State NJ | 6’3” | G | Matawan
A solidly built guard with a strong body. Haluska can finish in the paint but can also step back to hit from beyond the three point line. He’s a jack of all trades type of player who also helps out on the glass and both ends of the floor. He will lead a Matawan line that is very young but full of potential. He had 26 vs Ocean, 22 vs RFH and colleges shouldn’t be deterred by Matawan’s 4-20 record last year—They were very, very young and Haluska was a leader.
Chris Venturoso Chris Venturoso 6'3" | SG Lacey | 2023 State NJ | 6’3” | G | Lacey
One of the top returning players in Union County plays for a fairly unsung program in Lacey. He went over 1,000 pts as a junior. A solid inside-out player who can score in a variety of ways and also hits the boards well. He kept Lacey competitive almost single-handedly on more than one occasion. He had 33 vs Lakewood and 26 vs Mon Don as his top games as a junior and should bring a good amount of college interest as a senior.
