When you are ranked at #5 not much room to go but this player has the talent to move up. Compared to the guys ahead of him, his size is the only difference. But make no mistake Preston is a serious playmaking guard. Excellent vision. Knows what play to make. Outstanding range. In spite of his size he can get into the lane and contort his body to score. Has a Steph Curry type scoop shot in the lane. Uses his dribble many different ways . Can cross you over , step back, or use a hesitation dribble. Plus he has two older brothers with D1 pedigree.
A tremendously strong body player. Uses his body to shield the ball. Outstanding downhill player. Very shifty with the ball. Plays much bigger then 6”1. Can post up guards or take them off the dribble.
St John the Baptist is loaded with strong guards who can take you off the dribble. But Roddy can also drain the three from beyond the arc. Finishes through contact at the rim.
Outstanding interior player. Can score with either hand inside. Uses his long and strong frame to defend the lane and clear the glass. Should be a big riser in the rankings.
We selected Liam last season as the player of the year in Nassau county. So now is the opportunity for the rest of the state to know about him. He should elevate his ranking. He has an excellent mid range game. Can find different ways to get to the basket. Very smooth with the ball in his hands.
Tawshawn is a scorer in bunches. As the season went along last year he shot really well from three. He has continued that part of his game. Also quick and strong to the rim. Turns the corner with authority and finishes through contact.
Patrick can weave his way into the lane. But he also has a quick first step. He uses the hesitation dribble to get into the lane, moves well without the ball relocating himself to get off his three ball. Has quick hands and feet defending.
