Season Overview from coach Logan Schaubert
“The boys bought in together, and improved every week at practice throughout the summer. These young men each have the potential to have very successful high school careers, if they continue to put their head down, and work to win each day they step on the floor. They need to continue to work on containing their emotions, and not let a couple bad moments dictate their performance and attitude for the rest of the game, but that will come. It was a joy to coach them, and I look forward to seeing what they accomplish this winter in their respective high school seasons.“

Comments from coach Schaubert
Braxten Ruff Braxten Ruff 5'8" | SG Bismarck Legacy | 2026 State ND |5’5 G| Bismarck Legacy
“Very skilled point guard with a high IQ of the game. Needs to grow and get bigger in the weight room, but has the on ball skills to lead any team in the WDA. Great teammate that wants to win, and a joy to coach.”
Bennett Larson Bennett Larson 6'7" | C Stanley | 2026 State ND |6’6 C| Beulah
“Physical big man with a high motor that can dominate a game when he wants to. Needs to continue to stay in the gym and weight room, as he is still a little raw on the court. Has all the tools to be a dominant figure in class B basketball if he chooses to take that next level in his game.”
Braylen Schirado Braylen Schirado 6'0" | CG Beulah | 2026 State ND |5’10 G| Beulah
“Skilled offensive guard that can always get a bucket when you need him to. Needs to work on keeping his emotions under control when things do not go our way in games, but he also has the necessary skills to have a very successful high school career. Can shoot the ball at a high level, and his defense progressed during the season as well.”
Will Vogelwede |5’7 G| Bismarck Century
“Was a mid season addition to our team this year, and he immediately became a centerpiece for us. A very high motor athlete that gives 100% every time he steps on the floor. A kid who loves the game, and I know will continue to improve his offensive game as he grows older. A joy to coach.”
Carson Quam Carson Quam 6'0" | SF Shiloh Christian | 2026 State ND |5’10 SF| Wilton-Wing
Our best rebounder, defender, and high motor player we had on our team this season. Carson can attack the basket well, and can knock down an open shot from deep. It was always hard to sub him out because he can guard anyone 1-5 on the floor, and competes no matter what the score was. He will have a very successful high school career in both basketball and football, because of his work ethic and love for the game.
Brennen Greff Brennen Greff 6'1" | SG Bismarck | 2026 State ND |5’10 G| Bismarck
“Young athletic guard that does not know how much he is capable of yet. He has all the tools with his length and quickness to be very important for BHS in a few years. Needs to continue to stay in the gym and work on his skills, but once it clicks for him on the court, he will be a player to watch out for.“
Jack Julson Jack Julson 6'0" | SG Bismarck Legacy | 2026 State ND |5’7 G| Bismarck Legacy
“Another player who was hard to sub out when he was on the floor. Always gave 100% and was a very good defender for us. Bought into his role, and was a great leader for us as well. He will be an important factor for Legacy in a few years as he is a great teammate and a joy to coach.”
Xander Hanson Xander Hanson 5'11" | SG Bismarck Century | 2026 State ND |5’10 G| Bismarck Century
“In my opinion, Xander has the potential to be one of the best players in North Dakota if he locks in and continues to work on the game. A very athletic guard who can guard 1-5, and can get you 10-15 points if he chooses to. He needs to work on staying locked in the game the entire time, and not let bad moments get under his skin. If he does that, he will be a major factor in the WDA in a few years.”
** Camden Kraemer Camden Kraemer 5'10" | CG Bismarck Century | 2026 State ND |5’6 G| Bismarck Century
“Camden missed this summer season due to knee surgery in the spring, but I have said and will continue to say that Camden is one of, if not the most skilled players in the state. He does not have the size or strength yet to play at a varsity level, but he is just as skilled as anyone at that level. His IQ and ball handling with his footwork is a joy to watch, and I cannot wait to watch him compete again when he is 100% healthy.”
*** Kenyatta White Kenyatta White 6'3" | SF Bismarck | 2026 State ND |5’11 F| Bismarck
“Kenyatta only played with us for two tournaments this summer as an alternate, but I really wish he would have played for us full time. White will be a major factor in Jordan Wilhelm’s system at BHS with his great size and guard skills. He is a very physical defender that can take anyone off the dribble, and can space out and shoot the three. Very excited to see what he can do, and it would not surprise me to see him get opportunities with the varsity very soon.

Q & A with coach Logan Schaubert
PHD: What style of basketball did your team play?
Coach Schaubert: “We played a 4 out 1 in system, with a lot of freedom. The offense was a basic ball reversal and movement offense, but it was designed to give the players freedom to just play basketball.”
PHD: What is your best memory from this AAU season?
Coach Schaubert: “My favorite memory would be in our last tournament in Sioux falls. We had a close and physical game vs ECI, where we did not shoot the ball well, but our boys fought through adversity to win the game as a team.”
PHD: Who were a few of your hardest workers?
Coach Schaubert: “ Carson Quam Carson Quam 6'0" | SF Shiloh Christian | 2026 State ND , Will Vogelwede, and Braxten Ruff Braxten Ruff 5'8" | SG Bismarck Legacy | 2026 State ND are names that stick out to me. Always gave 100% on the floor, and never complained.”
PHD: Can you talk about a few of your best defenders?
Coach Schaubert: “ Carson Quam Carson Quam 6'0" | SF Shiloh Christian | 2026 State ND was our most consistent defender all season and Xander Hanson Xander Hanson 5'11" | SG Bismarck Century | 2026 State ND showed flashes of being a great defender, but he needs to work on staying focused and locked-in all game. He could be a big problem for offensive players in the future.”
PHD: Who was your best rebounder?
Coach Schaubert: “When he was there, Bennett Larson Bennett Larson 6'7" | C Stanley | 2026 State ND was our best rebounder. A physical 6’6″ post in 14U basketball will get the job done. Crashed the glass hard, which led him to get many second chance opportunities.”
PHD: Can you talk about a time when you overcame adversity?
Coach Schaubert: “In our final tournament, ECI went on an 8-0 run with two minutes to tie the game up. I called a timeout to regroup my boys and told them to just breathe. We left the timeout and went on a 7-0 run to end the game and win. Was very proud of how they did not let the pressure and emotion of the game get to them, and focus on each of them doing their job to win.”
PHD: Who improved the most over the season?
Coach Schaubert: “Will Vogelwede. He was a little timid once he first joined our team, but I saw him gain confidence every tournament and became a major piece of our team by June.”
PHD: When you needed a big bucket, who was your “go-to” player?
Coach Schaubert: “ Braylen Schirado Braylen Schirado 6'0" | CG Beulah | 2026 State ND always had plays drawn up for him. I could always trust that he would execute his play, and could always get a shot off when we needed him to.”
