Brown is a strong shooting guard capable getting shots off from a variety of situations along with steady improvement as a perimeter defender. Standing roughly 6’3, Brown was potent shooting off the catch well past the NCAA line. The incoming senior stayed aggressive on closeouts, proving to attack the rim with either hand. Defensively, Brown maximized his bulky frame by fighting for loose balls, rebounds, and creating tough shot contests. The biggest keys to Brown’s development reside from his patience within the arc and passing awareness.
JJ Williams JJ Williams 6'5" | SF Highlands Ranch | 2023 State CO – Colorado Prep – 2023
Williams is steady as always scoring the ball from behind the arc. Standing roughly 6’6, Williams possesses high level footwork leading to jump shots. His usage of side steps coming off either foot makes him a very tough player to defend on the perimeter. The senior shooting guard made a living on shots off the catch, either in the halfcourt or transition. A pure shooter in nature, Williams is not fazed by contests or the potential of being fouled on the shot. The incoming senior showed improved effort levels on the glass, given the fact he makes can make a major impact at 215 pounds. One such area of intrigue resides in his interior defense, given his size to make a difference.
Sven Zaimovic – George Washington – 2023
Standing roughly 6′ tall, the sharpshooter proved to be more than capable hitting shots well beyond the line. Zaimovic was dependable hitting threes when coming off of curls, pin downs, or easily off the catch. The fluid single motion is fairly quick, allowing him to get a shot off versus size. The George Washington guard is efficient as a system player too, where he makes a decision within a couple dribbles and selflessly moves without the ball. Another area of intrigue came from his offensive rebounding and overall effort level on the glass.
Nathaniel Owen Nathaniel Owen 6'5" | SG Belleview Christian | 2023 State CO – Belleview Christian – 2023
Owen is one of the most intriguing perimeter athletes in the state due to his two way talents. Standing roughly 6’4, the wiry strong combo guard demonstrated elite touch on all three levels thanks to his diverse toolbox. He was capable hitting floaters, high arcing layups, pullup mid-range jumpers, and three pointers off movement. On the opposite end, Owen stayed steady as a help side shot blocker and fundamentally sound one on one defender. Ultimately, the senior combo guard is capable getting to his spots and contributing a high volume of buckets. The biggest key to his game comes from his ability to generate space with the ball.
Caiden Braketa – 2026
The lone freshman on this list, Braketa proved to be a consistent shooter off the catch under a variety of situations. He proved to do a lot without the ball as a cutter, utilizing his light feed to dart past screens. Already standing roughly 6′ tall, Braketa will be an excellent floor spacer with room to grow as a playmaker. While this was my first time catching Braketa, I look forward to seeing his playmaking ability on full display in the coming years.
