The epitome of toughness. He does the dirty work and also happens to be one of the most talented forwards in the state. When you watch him play, you can see that competitive side of his game. He is a tough rebounding, get after it type player who combines his talents with toughness. He is all over the floor and willing to be that player who leads by example. If there is a loose ball, my money is on him to be the first to the floor. The combination of talent and toughness makes him a nightmare matchup. He won’t back down and he flies to the action. A willingness to do the little things. He would run through that wall to help his team.

He’s an up and coming talent at Mount Tahoma, and a crafty guard who has a unique skill set. As a guard he excels in the open floor with his wide open style of play. He’s not afraid to mix it up down low and will get his team extra possessions. He might be undersized at times when battling in the paint but makes up for it with heart. When I watched him this off-season he was all over the place. He plays with a chip on his shoulder and a confidence that stands out. Whether he’s spinning in the lane or knocking down threes, he is not only a threat to score but also the first to the floor. His competitive nature will only help him in the future. He will show up all over the box score, and it’s his hustle that gets him there. Tough player who won’t back down.

He plays with one of the top rated players in the state in Parker Gerrits Parker Gerrits 6’1″ | PG Olympia | 2023 State WA . I would be buying this kid lunch for the things he does on the court. He’s a willing rebounder to say the least. He has great footwork in the post and can score. Whether it be on a soft jump hook or knocking down shots with his nice touch, he can get it done. He will also not back down from contact, and you can count on him to do the things you want from your big man. A blocked shot to start the break, a tough rebound and outlet. (underrated skill) He knows his role and makes his teammates better. A perfect complement for a superstar guard to have. He will protect the paint and do the dirty work when it matters.
Highlights
You could say he’s undersized in the post, but you wouldn’t know it by watching him play. He uses his big body well and he will establish space in the paint to be an effective scorer on the block. He is a crafty big who will wreak havoc and does the little things that win games. He does not shy away from contact and frustrates opponents with his ability to establish himself on the block. It is his toughness that allows him to be a big time scorer and a problem for opposing teams.
Mostly known as one of the best shooters in the state, he is also one of the toughest guards in the state. He gets after it on defense and doesn’t take plays off. He’s all hustle all the time, while still being able to get buckets in a big way. His team counts on him to score and will follow his lead as being the first to hit the floor. A selfless and talented player who I believe will outplay his ranking. His intangibles will be a big reason why. He will be a great addition at the next level for whoever he decides to play for. Other players feed off his energy and leadership.

I did an interview with him earlier this year and he talked about how important it is to him to be an all around great player and not just a scorer. I think he takes that with him into games and it shows up as a toughness and will to win type player. The mamba mentality, a killer instinct that you can’t teach. He seems to have it and as the number one ranked player in the class of 2025, this makes for a dangerous combo. He was a freshman phenom for a Kings team that finished 2nd at the state tournament last year. He will remember how close they came and expect to be back this year. He leads by example and that will make Kings a force to be reckoned with for the next three years. I wouldn’t bet against this kid.
