Wasatch Academy dominated the rankings at the top as they took over a lot of top spots as they should with them being a National Power and household name now as they compete in the largest high school platform in the country.
Locally PHU#4 Chudi Anosike Chudi Anosike 6'5" | CG Murray | 2023 State UT has really made the best of his high school and AAU career as he is the Top home grown talent in the state. He scores the ball really well and he is a high percentage and high efficient scorer. He really gives Murray a true swinging chance at a State Championship in 5A. Another local stock rising player who has made his mark locally and will continue that in the record books is PHU#6 Quentin Meza Quentin Meza 6'0" | PG Cyprus | 2023 State UT over at Cyprus High School who was playing out of his mind all Spring and Summer. He has picked up a lot of D1 interest and look for him to continue that with stellar high school play as he has a chance at capturing at 6A State Championship as well.
The biggest transfer to make their way over to Utah so far is RJ. Jones who is a 4-Star who has narrowed his list down to a Top 6 that includes: Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Texas A & M, Boise State, Colorado and Kansas State. The Texas native makes his way over from a very well known school in John Paul II. This kid ca really score and look for him to be a major upgrade over at Wasatch Academy.
New Names that made the rankings include 6’7 Blake Rawson Blake Rawson 6'8" | SF American Fork | 2023 UT out of American Fork High School who has been surging as a player and developmental small forward. 6’7 Luke Sorenson Luke Sorenson 6'7" | SF Ridgeline | 2023 State UT has really impressed as well this grassroots season as well and he is going to make Ridgeline a tough out in 4A.
Just highlighting two players that have really made their way up in the rankings is PHU#33 Kallen Lewis Kallen Lewis 6'6" | CG Corner Canyon | 2023 State UT out of Corner Canyon is a good raw prospect that has next level tools. PHU#19 Kaden Ericksen Kaden Ericksen 6'2" | CG Syracuse | 2023 State UT has also been a player who has proven to make big time plays and continues to get better.
