Continue ReadingFor the first time of the summer it was a little quieter week on the recruiting trail for Indiana prospects. However, there was a very understandable reason for the slow down. With the first July live evaluation period extending from Wednesday-Sunday a lot of college coaches were on the road and unable to host as many visits, extend offers, etc. It wasn’t completely quiet though as we still have some news to report from the last week. Let’s dive on in and get updated on everything that occurred around the state on the recruiting front.
- One of the top remaining Class of 2022 in the state is now off of the board as Aidan Lambert (Fort Wayne Snider H.S. 2022) committed to Southwestern Illinois College.
- 6’6″ forward Dylan Beverly (Franklin H.S. 2023) took a visit to hometown Franklin College on Tuesday and was offered by the school while on campus. High-upside prospect.
- On Tuesday afternoon 6’2″ guard Ahmere Carson Ahmere Carson 6'2" | PG Anderson | 2023 State IN (Anderson H.S. 2023) reported his first Division I offer from Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Carson continues to score the ball at a really high level with EG10 17u on the Prep Hoops Circuit. He will play in the Grit Region Finals in Indianapolis this coming weekend.
- 6’3″ sharpshooter Aidan Franks Aidan Franks 6'2" | SG Wapahani | 2023 State IN (Wapahani H.S. 2023) took a visit to Wabash College and was offered while on campus by the Little Giants who are coming off of a trip to the Division III Final Four. Franks went on to have an excellent weekend with Indy Heat Red at Ballin Under 1 Roof in Louisville.
- 6’5″ guard Joey Hart Joey Hart 6'5" | SG Linton-Stockton | 2023 State #214 Nation IN (Linton-Stockton H.S. 2023) added an offer from Toledo during the week. He has now essentially been offered by every mid-major in the Midwest.
- 6’4″ guard Cannen Houser Cannen Houser 6'5" | SG Fort Wayne Carroll | 2024 State IN (Fort Wayne Carroll H.S. 2024) took a visit to Grace on Wednesday.
- 6’7″ forward JaQualon Roberts JaQualon Roberts 6'8" | PF Bloomington North | 2023 State IN (Bloomington H.S. North 2023) added a couple of offers to his extensive list over the weekend. He was offered by Virginia Tech and Vanderbilt on Friday evening.
- Jalen Haralson Jalen Haralson 6'7" | PG La Lumiere | 2025 #8 Nation IN (Fishers H.S. 2025), a 6’6″ point guard, picked up offers from Auburn and Iowa over the weekend. Both schools had been following him closely for a couple of weeks.
- Trent Sisley Trent Sisley 6'8" | PF Heritage Hills | 2025 State #47 Nation IN (Heritage Hills H.S. 2025), a 6’7″ forward, was also offered by Iowa at the same time as his Indy Heat 16u teammate Haralson.
- 5’10″ point guard Dylan Doss Dylan Doss 5'10" | PG Heritage Christian | 2023 State IN (Heritage Christian 2023) visited Anderson on Friday.
- 6’10″ center David Meriwether David Meriwether 6'10" | C Lawrence North | 2023 UT (Lawrence North H.S. 2023) continued to pull in offers over the weekend. Meriwether added scholarships from Southern Indiana and Morehead State.
- 6’5″ wing Jaymen Townsend Jaymen Townsend 6'6" | SF Marion | 2025 State #248 Nation IN (Marion H.S. 2025) received his first from IUPUI on Saturday. Townsend helped lead George Hill All Indy 15u to the Best of the South Final Four in Atlanta.
- 5’11″ point guard Markus Burton Markus Burton 5'11" | PG Penn | 2023 State #190 Nation IN (Penn H.S. 2023) added to his growing list of scholarships with an offer from Drake on Saturday.
