Bradley Biedke (Big 3) 15U
Bradley is a big guard that does most of his scoring around the rim using either hand. He gets to the rim off straight line attacks usually keeping the ball high on his drives to the rim. He had a solid game where he finished with 18 points in the win.
Jaylen Blakes (Calumet City Thoroughbreds) 15U
Blakes was a new name to me. He shined bright even in what ended up being a blowout loss. Jaylen was very active crashing the glass hard getting several put backs in the beginning of the game. By the middle of the first half he was making shots from both baseline and even knocked down a three from the wing. He had 17 points just in the first half alone. In the second he continued to play hard making two good moves around the rim. He ended up with 23.
Trey’Dez Green (LA Broncos) 16U
Maybe the best performance I’ve seen from Green was on Saturday afternoon in a heated game with DTO. Trey’Dez is special because he can play in the open court or in the half court. On the perimeter or in the paint. He is athletic but also very skilled. He went for 31 points scoring off lobs and finishing many layups off fastbreak points. Green is a mobile space eater that we me see going high major in a year from now.
Mason Jones (Team GRIII) 17U
Jones had a hot start in their game against The Collective Elite. Scoring 8 or the team’s first 10 points of the game. Mason took advantage of missed shots getting out in transition finishing plays with dunks and layups. On a few plays Mason himself grabbed rebounds and pushed the ball on the break connecting for an assist or two. Jones plays hard every time I watch him play this spring and summer. Ball State commit will add some toughness to that team next season.
Devon Woods (EG10) 17U
Woods had a breakout game in another very intense game of the night. He was very poised in his attacks to the bucket. Whenever he got in the lane he knew if he was looking to score or pass each time. Devon has good upper body strength that he relies on to help him finish through or around defenders. He is very accurate on his passes especially under pressure. Woods most talked about play in the game amongst coaches was a left handed swing pass from the opposite side of the court that hit his teammate right in the hands. Devon finished with 20 points with 16 of them coming in the second half and a win over Chicago Lockdown.
Matthew Moore Matthew Moore 6'7" | PF Hillcrest | 2023 State IL (Chicago Lockdown) 17U
In the same game Moore was on the opposite side having a strong performance as well when he started the game off with two strong dunks and two emphatic blocks off the backboard. Matthew is an intense forward who seemed to feed off the smack talk from the EG10 players. Moore also showed some versatility in the game hitting a few elbow mid-range shots and even knocking down a three. He is really starting to catch the eye of schools as he picked up and offer from UNC Wilmington to finish the night.
