Horvath began the weekend scoring 35 points on Friday. Finding buckets from all over the floor, and connecting on five three pointers. He continued that hot streak the next morning. Dropping 24 points to win a nail bitter against Breakaway Basketball. He’s a smaller point guard, but plays super crafty basketball and displays impressive footwork. He’s also capable of sharing the rock and getting his teammates involved. Expects Horvath’s stock to go up after this showing.
Like Horvath, Wright began the weekend with a bang. Making it rain with six 3-pointers against Powerhouse Sports. Five of those six came consecutively in the second half, as he really took over and helped secure the win. In addition to his long rang abilities, Wright’s showed off tons of unselfish play and led EG10 in assists this weekend. His mid range game is also something to note, as he found solid consistency at that level.
Highlights
Nicknamed “Papi,” Rivera has lots of unique tools that make him a player to watch in the future. Before his game against Wisconsin Crusaders, Rivera averaged nearly 25 points per contest. I got to watch him early Sunday, and the hype was legit. Against the Crusaders, Rivera went off for 15 first half points. Knocking down numerous 3-pointers, and showing confidence driving inside. A coast-to-coast finish by late in the game helped secure a big win.
Williams was probably the most consistent player on a GRIII Elite team who went 4-0 this weekend. There’s a lot I liked from him the weekend. He’s a terrific perimeter defender, and makes it difficult to dribble past him. He also forces tough outside shots. On offense, Williams can get buckets in the paint, and behind the arc. Even rom the midrange too. Averaged over 16 points per game this weekend.

The best athlete on GRIII was undoubtedly Kelvion Brown. He’s a high-motor prospect to look out for in Northwest Indiana. He found success playing numerous positions this weekend. His performance against Full Package was something spectacular. Snagging tough rebounds over taller defenders, creating second chance opportunities, and hitting jump shots. I loved the all-around effort from Brown.
