Perimeter defense and effort was high.
Evaluating coaches: Seton Hall (assistant), Western Michigan (assistant).
#1 Juice Eleam (Knox Catholic) – Asked to defend a 6’8″ big and struggled to make it happen. He is probably 6’4″ish. Very thin. Truly projects as a 2/3 at this point. He is adept at the perimeter wiggle. A casual, yet modestly effective crossover maneuver.
#2 Ta’Len Bradley-Maze – Currently a post playing 6-foot-4. Most likely, he will become more agile as he ages. Remember, Bradley-Maze is playing up and obviously a year less advanced physically. Still finding his feet and in hopes of gaining quickness and balance.
#3 Jayson Gainey
#4 King Hubbard (Bearden) – Not a strong outside shooter. His lower body form was all over the place. Results were obviously inconsistent. Hubbard will probably be a fantastic slasher at the varsity level as soon as this season.

#14 Maguire Evans – Solid perimeter defense. Evans instinctively hunted down his blockout responsibilities. Elite court awareness. He found an unnatural number of offensive rebounds, considering his size. After collecting an offensive rebound, two bigs surrounded. He put up a committed pump-fake, then bounce passed around the double team to a wide-open teammate. He made his free throws with a purity. Not good straightline speed.
#21 Brogdon Lundgren (CAK 2026) – Brogdon was an 8th grader for CAK last winter. He stands about 6-foot-8 though this was his first event with the BMaze 15u team. Two bigs are playing up (

), so this was a necessary pickup. He did not play much in the first Thursday game for BMaze 15u.
#22 Jamichael Blair (Bearden) – Incredibly power lower body coupled with some fantastic lateral quickness. He projects as an elite wing defender. Can be turnover prone, though many of these look capable of ironing out as he gains more physical maturity. The versatility reminds of a young Chris Livingston, though quite as explosive vertically. Wonderful strength. He will take the contact willing. Not shy about attacking the body or heading into heavily trafficked areas. The free throw for is decent. Left-handed.
#23 John Ownby (Sevier County)- Versatile offensively. At the high school level, he is probably going to be a 10+ ppg scorer. Really good lower body balance. His shot looks a lot better when he catches into the offering. Off-the-dribble, at least when slightly challenged, his shot becomes a hope.
