Let’s check out some of the Notables I watched from Sunday:
Xavian Charles Xavian Charles 5'9" | PG Santaluces | 2025 State FL , 5’9 PG, Ball 4 Lyfe, 2025 (Pictured): A super quick point guard with downhill lethalness with the ball in his hands. Provided a ton of spark for his club who was wavering in the early stages of their game Sunday. Got to the rim and had some tough and 1 finishes at the rim after blowing by guys of the bounce. Has a nice cross over and in and out game to get defenders off balance. Also a great on ball defender.
Julian Miles, 5’11 G, Griffin Elite Spriggs, 2025: Big time shot maker especially from behind the 3 point line. Really deep range and steps into his shots with confidence and can drill them with ease. Great base and lift on his shot and always seemed to make a three when his team needed to start a run for themselves or stop a run from starting from the other team. Has some swagger to him and it translates into success on both ends.
Nick Hayden, 6’2 G, Griffin Elite Spriggs, 2025: Loved his effort and defensive IQ, getting a bunch of deflections throughout the game and steals that led to easy opportunities for himself and teammates. Has a nice looking jump shot as well and can get to his spots off the dribble and knock down jumpers. Played with great poise and control on Sunday.
Mark Zachery IV, 6’ PG, Team Teague, 2025: Truly was the best passer inside of the GA Convention Center all weekend, and on Sunday it was more of the same. His IQ and confidence to thread the needle on some of his passes to streaking teammates in transition, lobs off the attack, kick outs to shooters, and no looks off the bounce is next level and he will be a future college point guard impacting big time games. Great communicator with his teammates on the floor and helps them get into positions to succeed. Is a tremendous athlete as well, guarding at a high level, scoring up at the rim, and is a one man fast break with efficiency finishing against contests.
Michael Cooper Michael Cooper 6'2" | PG Jeffersonville | 2025 State IN , 6’1 CG, Team Teague, 2025: Much like his teammate Mark, Cooper stood out amongst the rest in his own way, being the best combo two way guard in the gym. Sunday against D1 New Mexico, he scored it at a high level from all three levels. His pull up jumper is elite and as smooth as they come, can knock down threes off the catch, has great balance in the painted area scoring it as well. He is a guy that can go on 6 to 8 point runs on his own and completely alter games.
Emmanuel Clarton, 6’3 Guard, We Play, 2025: A big time scorer at the 2 spot. A tremendous catch and shoot player from the corners hitting multiple in a come from behind win Sunday. He also attacks the rim off the bounce with force and has the athletic ability to rebound tip in his own misses in the paint. Can go off the bounce with the left or right hand and has a variety of finishes in his arsenal. Got to the foul line 5 or 6 times in the ball game as well and got himself easy points from there.
