Aidyn Boone Aidyn Boone 6'5" | C Central | 2023 State IL , 6’5 PF Libertyville (IL) 2023 Full Package Black: Boone went NUTS in the championship game, going off for around 20 first half points as his Full Package Black squad cruised to a championship victory. Boone shot the ball at a high level from downtown and was using pump-fakes to get the defense to jump before a side-step 3-pointer twice for big shots. Boone and his team played a complete performance and were well deserved champions in the 17 U bracket.
Ahmere Carson Ahmere Carson 6'2" | PG Anderson | 2023 State IN , 6’2 SG Anderson (IN) 2023 EG10: Carson was a force as the lefty got hot in the semifinals to lead his EG10 team to the title. A bigger bodied off guard, Carson doesn’t shy away from contact when he’s attacking the basket and made just enough shots from the outside to keep the defense honest. Carson should be a Division II priority in the midwest based on what I saw this weekend.
Cayden Vasko, 6’5 PG Bosco Institute (IN) 2022 Fundamental U: Vasko was one of the most unique players I saw this weekend with his size from the point guard spot being unique. Vasko sees the floor well and can zip passes all over the court with his size over defenders. Vasko can also stroke it from the outside and create his own shot, as shown by his buzzer-beater in the elite 8 of the bracket on Sunday morning.
Dylan Beverly, 6’6 PF Franklin Community (IN) 2023 Indiana Elite Side: Beverly was a standout in the silver bracket as his team made the semifinals. Beverly is a unique prospect as he’s a wing forward at the next level but was the tallest player on the court for the game I saw. Beverly controlled the paint on both ends and is an impressive vertical athlete. Beverly’s main upside will come with his perimeter versatility at the next level, being able to switch and his comfort on the perimeter.
Javion Bostic Javion Bostic 6'2" | SG Winton Woods | 2023 State OH , 6’2 SG Walnut Hills (OH) 2023 Cincy Fire Elite: Cincy Fire was maybe the Cinderella story of the weekend as they won close game after close game to advance all the way to the final four. Bostic was huge in the first half of their elite 8 victory, making four first half 3-pointers. Bostic helped close out the game by attacking the rim and defending the perimeter.
