This collections of frontcourt players are looking real good to improve upon their rankings at the end of the summer. They have been putting in some impressive work over the last couple of months.
Trevor Reed Trevor Reed 6'6" | PF John Burroughs | 2023 State MO (Brad Beal Elite 17U): The 6’5″ 2023 combo forward from John Burroughs has been very productive this summer during the Nike EYBL season. He’s a very good 3-point shooter who’s ideal for the pick and pop. He has also been very assertive in the low post and that has led to even more offensive productivity. He backs defenders down effectively and can hit the jump hook or the turnaround jumper in the paint. He rebounds the ball well and he’s capable of taking it off the glass and leading the fast break on his own.

MO
(Arsenal Hoops 17U): A 6’7″ 2023 forward from Clayton with a long, slender build and a versatile skill set that makes him a matchup problem. He plays the game at his own pace and he gets where he wants to go on the court. He can really stretch the defense with his 3-point shooting stroke and he can also put in on the floor and get to the basket. He can see over defenders with his height to deliver the pass to an open teammate. He picked up a Division II offer from William Jewell over the weekend.

State
MO
(MPJ Elite 17U): The 6’7’ 2023 forward from Vashon is a human pogo stick who is one of the best in the state at throwing down tip-dunks off the offensive rebounds. He will either establish position and jump off two feet for the dunk or he will swoop in from the weak side to throw it down. He has also been doing a nice job of knocking down the Corner 3-pointer when he’s left open.
Clayton Ernst Clayton Ernst 6'8" | PF Jackson | 2023 State MO (Gateway-Knights 17U): The 6’8″ 2023 forward from Jackson doubles as a excellent power forward on the basketball court when he’s not swatting home runs and striking out hitters on the baseball diamond. He’s a big body with a delicate shooting touch around the basket. It’s hard to move him when he establishes his position inside, so if he happens to miss, he can follow up and get the putback himself. He is also a good passer out of the post and he can step out to hit the mid-range jumper off the catch.
Latroy McIntosh (SEMO Select 16U): The 6’6″ 2024 forward from Cape Girardeau Central has a big showing last week in leading his team to the championship of the Chicago Summer Jam. He is physically strong with explosive athleticism around the basket. He’s good for at least a couple of big dunks during the game, whether it’s in transition or off the offensive boards. He has a very nice jump hook around the basket and he can score it with either hand. He has an active motor at both ends of the court and he runs the court very well.
Quin Blackburn Quin Blackburn 6'7" | PF Pacific | 2023 State MO (Hardwood Elite 17U): A 6’8″ 2023 post player from Pacific who is very skilled with the basketball anywhere from 15 feet in. He has soft hands and good footwork around the basket. He can score with moves over either shoulder and he has a nice up and under move. He is also very effective from the high post with a perimeter stroke, good passing skills and the ability to attack off the dribble.
Bryce Mitchell Bryce Mitchell 6'5" | PF Raymore-Peculiar | 2024 State MO (KC Spurs Black 16U): The 6’5″ 2024 forward from Raymore-Peculiar is a long and lanky southpaw who stays active on the offensive boards. He gets out of his area to gobble up rebounds and get putbacks. He also has a quick second and third jump in the paint. He uses his quickness and footwork in the paint to defend bigger plays and also to block and challenge shots. He can also get out and run the court to get buckets in the transition game.
