Standouts from Thursday’s 270 Hoops Prospect Camp

The 270 Hoops prospect camp was a two day event for players to be seen by college coaches at Fieldhouse USA in Columbus, Ohio. In this article, I’m going to break down some standouts from Thursday at the event.
Jabari Covington Jabari Covington 6'1" | PG Newport | 2024 State KY , 6’1 PG CCPA 2024: Covington was dominant, leading his team on the winner’s court for the entire afternoon until the final game. Covington has the ball on a string, and it was tough for any defense to stay in front of him. Covington had moments of solid defense, getting steals against players not ready for his pressure. Covington was also streaky from the outside, having stretches where he couldn’t miss from deep. Covington had good chemistry with his high school teammate Josh Marshall throughout the day.
Maxx Bosley Maxx Bosley 5'11" | CG Wadsworth | 2024 State OH , 6’1 CG Wadsworth 2024: Bosley is a unique player as he has a stocky frame and unique pace to his game. Bosley caught defense off guard with his change of pace and lit it up in the final game against an unbeaten squad. Bosley showed some good vision with the ball in his hands and plays with toughness, a name to watch in northeast Ohio.
CJ Collins CJ Collins 6'2" | CG Marysville | 2025 State OH , 6’1 CG Dublin Coffman 2025: Collins was the top shooter at the event and lit it up from downtown all afternoon. Collins might be limited with the ball in his hands but get him a screen either on or off ball and if you leave him for a second, it’s going up. Collins also has the size to shoot over smaller point guard defenders and the range to launch from deep. I’m a fan of Collins game and think he’s going to learn a lot this season as the lead guard since Ajay Sheldon graduated.
Aidan Gallogly Aidan Gallogly 6'3" | SF Worthington Kilbourne | 2024 State OH , 6’2 SG Worthington Kilbourne 2024: At prospect events like this, often times players resort to selfish tendencies that don’t help their team win. I’m happy to say I never saw that with Gallogly as he played within himself and did a lot of little things to help his team win. Gallogly showed good feel with the ball in his hands and made open shots. I’m a big fan of how Gallogly carried himself at an event like this.
