With the help of our company’s new partners in Puma and Hibbett Sports we were able to put on a first class event at the Cobb Galleria Center that attracted a lot of college coaches to evaluate the wide array of talent. There will be plenty of content over the next several days throughout our nationwide network of scouts. As our Grit Region regional scout I’ll be focusing primarily on those prospects in the midwest who caught my eye down south. On Monday evening we highlighted some new names that commanded attention in Atlanta. Now, let’s recap some of the top performers from the state of Indiana. We started with the 17u age division before turning our focus to the 16u age group. Now, let’s finish off with the 15u top performers.
Kelvion Brown (Merrillville H.S. 2025/Team GRIII Elite 15u): This physical 6’2″ wing was excellent on Sunday in Team GRIII Elite’s win over the LA Broncos. Brown is hard to guard in transition, attacks downhill to the basket with strength, and finishes through contact. Averaged 11.8 points per game over the weekend in Atlanta.
Julius Gizzi Julius Gizzi 6'3" | SG New Palestine | 2025 State IN (New Palestine H.S. 2025/D1 Indiana-Gizzi 15u): Gizzi was showing off his skill level all weekend long as he always does on the Prep Hoops Circuit with D1 Indiana-Gizzi. The physical 6’3″ guard can create his own shot off of the dribble, finishes well inside, and can make them from deep too as seen by making 12 three-pointers on the weekend. Gizzi averaged 26 points and 6 rebounds per game while leading his team to a 3-1 record.
Eric Hopson Eric Hopson 6'0" | SG Decatur Central | 2025 IN (Decatur Central H.S. 2025/EG10 15u): I was able to watch Hopson put up 28 points in a win on Sunday. The 6’2″ guard is super athletic with all of the physical tools you could ask for on the wing. Hopson drives it well, has a smooth pull-up jump shot, and handles it well enough to create his own shot. Really intriguing prospect for EG10 15u.
Shane Sims Shane Sims 6'3" | PG Evansville Harrison | 2025 State IN Jr. (Evansville Harrison H.S. 2025/Team Teague 15u): It was another dominant weekend on the wing for Sims Jr. The 6’3″ guard knocked down five three-pointers in the first half of Team Teague’s win on Sunday as they finished a perfect 4-0 this weekend. Sims is one of the best pure shooters Indiana’s Class of 2025 and has good size on the perimeter.
Mark Zackery Mark Zackery 6'0" | PG Ben Davis | 2025 State #398 Nation IN (Ben Davis H.S. 2025/Team Teague 15u): Zackery is the engine of Team Teague, one of the most talented groups on the Prep Hoops Circuit. His length and quickness in the backcourt makes him an outstanding two-way guard that contributes to winning on both ends of the floor. On Sunday, Zackery also shot the ball well showing what he can do from beyond the arc. Really impressive all-around performance by the talented point guard.
