Issac Nyakundi, MacDuffie, HT 6’9, Class 2024, Position PF
The 6’9 power forward is just starting to reach his potential. He has so much upside, and has reclassified to 2024, to give him more time to raise his stock. He already has one division 1 offer, and I expect that list to grow a lot, by the end of his senior year. He has length, and athleticism. He is great in transition, and almost always is the first one up the floor on the fast break. He has the ability to go the length of the floor and score. Post players should not be overlooked in today’s basketball. Issac is a dominate post player and rebounder. In the showcases he had a double double, and showed his much talked about right hand hook shot. He can back down people in the post, and also face up. The paint protector, even showed his ability to stretch the floor, hitting a nice three off a screen.
Jaylen Harrell, ST Sebastian’s, Class 2025, HT 6’5, Position SG
Jaylen had a standout weekend at the NEPSAC Showcase. He is strong, and a good built for a guard. He is versatile, and has a great inside and out game. He showed his ability to be a slasher, and his ability to be a shooter. He can also play above the rim. Jaylen continued to prove to me why I think he can play at the division 1 college level.
Will Franks Will Franks 6'7" | SG Brewster Academy (NH) | 2023 State NLG , Brewster, HT 6’7, Position Wing, Class 2023,
Will is a stretch forward. His best attributes is his ability to stretch floor at 6’7, and be a consistent three point shooter. He is a high percentage three point shooter, and made 4 three pointers in one game at the showcase. Will takes little time to get his shot off, and has a high shot release point, that is tough to block. He is very good at spot up shooting, and off the screen and pop. Something that would help him to play at the next level, is to build up his frame more.
Connor Hanavan Connor Hanavan 6'1" | CG Berkshire | 2023 State NLG , Berkshire, Class 2023, Position SG
Connor is a knock down three point shooter. He has a smooth release, and in the games I saw, he had some nice threes in transition, Off the dribble, and spotting up. He shot over 40 percent from three point range last season. He is a high energy player, and I liked how he was constantly in motion off the ball. He takes good shots, and he didn’t force many shots up in the weekend.
