6’2 SG Deacon Deitz of Mark Morris HS (WA) 2023 (Tacoma Swish 17 Blue)
If you look up big-time-motor in the dictionary you would probably see a picture of Deacon Deitz. He is an ultimate competitor who plays in attack mode the whole way. He makes a lot of effort plays and is not fun to play against. Deitz is a guy you want on your team who will battle every play.
6’1 PG Parker Gerrits of Olympia HS (WA) 2023 (Roots Academy 2023)
Gerrits is MVP of the all-motor team if there is one because of his elite-level motor combined with his high-level skill set. He NEVER stops attacking. And he excels in transition consistently. He has a very nice pull-up game -both on the break and in the half court. He shoots it well with long range and he drives very hard to the hoop displaying a unique ability to finish with contact. He’s also a very good passer who drops dimes routinely. Gerrits is also a member of all Dow Jones team for rising stock because more colleges are continuing to jump in on him from around the country.
5’9 PG Myles Harper of Yucca Valley HS (CA) 2024 (Desert Basketball)
Harper is an absolute blur of a one-man with big-time speed. He can really turn on the jets in transition and pushes the break- on every possession. His burst and acceleration are a nightmare for the opposition. And he is able to get by defenders in the half court almost at will. Harper is a little man who plays really big.
6’4 CG Khalon Johnson of Bella Vista Prep (AZ) 2024 (New Mexico D1 2024)
Johnson is a very active and athletic combo guard who can really go. He is very efficient in transition and does a nice job finishing at the rim. In the half court he goes very hard to the hoop on the drive and gets by defenders consistently with a real nice first step. He passes it well and does a nice job finding the open man. Johnson is a true class of 2023 who will re-class to 2024.
5’9 PG Xavier Ogle of Rancho Bernardo HS (CA) 2023 (D1 Southern California 2023)
Ogle is an athletic one man who is relentless in pushing the break and attacking the defense. He keeps coming at you and makes a ton of plays in transition. And he has nice acceleration that makes him really hard to stop. In the half court he does a nice job penetrating and creating opportunities for himself and others. Ogle is a very nice passer who is an assist writing to happen.
6’3 CG Alex Wells of Phhoenix Prep (AZ) 2024 (Taylor Made Elite 2023)
Wells was a very pleasant discovery with his splendid performance at this event. He is a scoring machine with a motor that is always running. He had a 44-point games in which he was basically un-guardable. He excels in transition consistently and is next to impossible to stop. He can score from all three levels in the half court and is a very difficult matchup. Wells is a true class of 2023 member who will re-class because he is young for his class. Consequently, he belongs high on the 2024 radar.
6’2 G Carter Williford of Mt. Tahoma HS (WA) 2024 (Tacoma Swish 17 Blue)
Williford is one of those guys who simply goes hard all the time (at both ends) and never stops going hard. He can handle it and shoot it and finds ways to come up with rebounds from the guard position. But most significantly, Williford will battle from start to finish and is a good one to have on your side.
