The event got even bigger this week as Prep Hoops officially announced our partnership with Puma and Hibbett Sports. Adding these two brands to our company will help meet the apparel needs of some top teams while also bringing some fun new aspects to events hosted around the country.
Now, for the action this weekend in Atlanta for the first live period of the month. In order to keep this as short and sweet as possible we will be highlighting on prospect from each Indiana based AAU program participating in Prep Hoops Live Atlanta. Let’s dive on in.
Circle City Shooters 17u
- Shane Handlon Shane Handlon 6'4" | SG Southport | 2023 IN (Southport H.S. 2023) is a 6’4″ shooter that will bring an added level of scoring to this group. He has missed some time due to a broken wrist so it will be good seeing back out on the court. Additionally, we’ve written some about 6’5″ forward Jamir Carnell (Ben Davis H.S. 2023) during the spring and summer but he definitely deserves mention here as well. Very active on both ends of the floor with explosiveness at the rim.
EG10 17u
- At this point pretty much everyone knows about the high-level scoring prowess of 6’2″ left-handed guard Ahmere Carson Ahmere Carson 6'2" | PG Anderson | 2023 State IN . Therefore, let’s take this time to highlight Devon Woods Devon Woods 5'10" | PG Pike | 2023 State IN (Pike H.S. 2023). The 5’10″ point guard is one of the shiftiest playmakers in the class and is ready to start pulling in some offers this month. Really talented offensive player that can also lock up the ball defensively.
Team GRIII Elite 17u
- Welcome to the club, Jaedin Reyna (Bishop Noll Institute 2024). The talented point guard comes over from Illinois already holding a few Division I offers and will be playing up a year with the 17u GRIII Elite squad. Expect his playmaking ability to be on full display in Atlanta.
INB Platinum Elite 17u
- This group has some solid under-the-radar prospects that are fighting to find a fit at the next level. One of those guys is 6’1″ athletic shooter Keilyn Moore (Avon H.S. 2023). His catch-and-shoot ability makes him a tough cover as he moves without the ball. One to watch this weekend.
Indiana Red Storm 17u
- Small college coaches are always scrambling late in the recruiting process to find some size to fill out their class. One player they can go ahead and evaluate is 6’7″ forward Steven Rogers Steven Rogers 6'7" | C Decatur Central | 2023 State IN (Decatur Central H.S. 2023). He’s a mobile big man that can catch and finish in the paint on the roll.
EG10 16u
- He’s been covered quite a bit on this website, but 5’9″ point guard Mason Lewis Mason Lewis 5'9" | PG Crispus Attucks | 2024 State IN (North Central H.S. 2024) is one of the best guard prospects in his class in Indiana and deserves some shine heading into Prep Hoops Live Atlanta. He is one of the best playmakers on the circuit a big reason why EG10 16u has had so much success.
INB Platinum Elite 16u
- A prospect that has flown under-the-radar some through the spring is 6’0″ point guard Phillip Randolph (International School 2024). He is shifty with the ball, has great floor vision with the ball in his hands, and can create his own shot.
EG10 Red 16u
- Mason Harvey Mason Harvey 6'7" | PF Seton Catholic | 2024 State IN (Seton Catholic 2024) doesn’t take long to catch your attention when he steps on the floor. At 6’6″-6’7″ he has the requisite size and then you mix in some elite shooting ability with deep rang and you have yourself an intriguing long-term prospect. He’s worth getting eyes on this weekend in Atlanta.
D1 Indiana-2 16u
- Cam Reich Cam Reich 6'1" | SG Speedway | 2024 State IN (Brownsburg H.S. 2024) is staying on the Prep Hoops Circuit, but made the move to D1 Indiana-2 from EG10. He is a very good shooter off of the dribble, is a strong playmaker, and plays through contact on his way to the basket. Talented offensive player.
Team GRIII Elite 16u
- Shooting is always in style and in high demand by college coaches. That is what 6’1″ guard Tyler Parrish Tyler Parrish 6'3" | SG Chesterton | 2024 State IN (Chesterton H.S. 2024) does best. The elite catch-and-shoot threat spaces the floor for Team GRIII Elite 16u while David Cundiff David Cundiff 6'0" | PG Munster | 2024 State IN (Munster H.S. 2024) makes plays off of the dribble. They are a fun one-two punch in the backcourt. This team improved throughout the spring on the Prep Hoops Circuit.
EG10 15u
- 6’2″ wing Eric Hopson Eric Hopson 6'0" | SG Decatur Central | 2025 IN (Decatur H.S. 2025) is probably the most talented and best long term prospect of the group, but it was 5’10″ guard Hudson Horvath Hudson Horvath 6'1" | PG Park Tudor | 2025 State IN (Park Tudor 2025) who provided some of the best moments of the spring for this EG10 15u team. The group is really fun to watch and Horvath’s shot-making ability led them to some really impressive wins. This whole team is filled with nice prospects.
Team GRIII Elite 15u
- The backcourt duo of Grant Best Grant Best 6'4" | SG Mount Carmel | 2025 IN (Mount Carmel H.S. 2025) and Jaylen Barbara Jaylen Barbara 6'0" | SG South Bend Riley | 2025 State IN (South Bend Riley H.S. 2025) are the guys to watch for this team. Both are around 6’0″ guards and can create for themselves off of the dribble. Routinely lead Team GRIII in scoring through the spring.
D1 Indiana 15u
- Julius Gizzi Julius Gizzi 6'3" | SG New Palestine | 2025 State IN (New Palestine H.S. 2025) is a bigger guard that can physically overpower defenders on the way to the basket at this point. He is very skilled with the ability to handle the ball and shoot it from the perimeter, but his strength is what separates him right now as a finisher. This team plays very well together and had a lot of success through the spring.
Team Teague 15u
- One of the most talented 15u teams you will find anywhere. Team Teague dominated the competition a lot of the time on the Prep Hoops Circuit with a number of supremely talented prospects. The engine that made it all go though was generally 6’1″ guard Mark Zackery Mark Zackery 6'0" | PG Ben Davis | 2025 State #398 Nation IN . He is one of the best two-way guards in the class and is also a major Division I football recruit. His athleticism causes opponents problems the entire time he is on the floor.
