I primarily watched the 16 and 17U divisions plus some 15U games.
Here were some of the top PG’s I viewed:
Parker Gerrits Parker Gerrits 6'1" | PG Olympia | 2023 State WA Olympia (Roots Academy 2023)
One of the top shooters on the circuit. He has a high feel for the game but has become tougher and stronger. He will make shots in traffic more consistently to handle the bump and will rise up high from mid-range He sees the floor and makes the correct read it seems every play. The 17U MVP along with Diallo.
Aliou Diallo Aliou Diallo 6'0" | CG Colorado Prep | 2023 CO Colorado Prep (Colorado Titans Gold 2023)
A pure point guard who facilitates first but he had a good weekend shooting the ball. He hit 3pt shots in every contest. His decision making and speed with the ball stand out. He is tough on the ball defensively. He was one of my 17U MVP’s as he guided them to the 17U Chip.
Alijah Adem PG 6’2 2024 Spring Valley (Chosen Few 2023)
Another top notch shooter with ’in the gym’ range. He creates space with his tighter handle and lets it fly with a super quick release. He also has impressive next level court vision. He maneuvers the defenders and slithers passes in.
Jaylen Wheeler PG 6’2 2024 Salesian College Prep (Team Rampage 2024)
A pure PG who sprays the ball around with pick and roll passes, extra passes to teammates and up the court darts. He is a good on-ball defender who plays unselfishly. He scores it best downhill but makes pull-ups and is a capable three point shooter.
Cuthbert Tambatamba Cuthbert Tambatamba 5'11" | PG Desert Edge | 2023 State AZ Desert Edge (Team REAL 2023) (Pictured)
TambaTamba had a good weekend. He is a very good transition scorer and passer. He also made some perimeter jumpers from the 3pt line and has a deceptive quick first step to get into the lane to score or will find a teammate. His speed and quicks are felt on the ball defensively.
Damarius Taylor Damarius Taylor 5'10" | CG Regis | 2024 State CO Regis Jesuit (Team Revenge 2024)
A pure point guard has incredible speed and court vision. He hit deep 3’s to keep the defense honest, but his burst to the cup is hard to contain. When he is clicking on defense, shooting and facilitating, he is a valuable asset to any team.
Owen Foster Owen Foster 6'0" | CG Fairview | 2024 State CO Fairview (Colorado Titans Gold 2024)
A highly skilled guard maybe a natural combo guard but he played the role of the PG. He drives and kicks it to his shooters and can thread the needle. He does have a scoring mentality with catch-3’s, on the move or pull-ups off the dribble.
Jacob Casilas PG 5’10 2024 Murrieta Valley/CA (Gamepoint Inland Empire 2024)
A scoring lead guard has a very shifty handle and is a fluid athlete. He is very hard to contain since he constantly changes speeds. He has a high feel for the game and he can shoot it easily to the 3pt line. His quickness with the ball and skill jump out at you.
Brandon Logan PG 5’11 Curtis/WA 2024 (Tacoma Swish 2024)
A heady player with skill and toughness. He has the ball in his hands a lot and guides the offense but he is a fierce competitor who can shoot it from the three point line and get to the rim with a decent burst. He is strong and will defend with a high motor.
