Toniolli brings high IQ and patience as the point guard with a competitive Amarillo Nets group. At 6’1, the guard has three level scoring upside while serving as the team’s floor general. He is more than effective manipulating pick and rolls to either create scoring looks for himself or make the pass through a narrow pocket. Whether he is in the half court or full court, the point guard is constantly looking for scoring advantages. Another wrinkle with Toniolli is he cannot be left open either, as he is a knockdown shooter off the catch out to the NCAA line.
Jamarri Simpson Jamarri Simpson 6'3" | CG Booker T Washington | 2025 State OK – NLU – Booker T Washington
Simpson brings a lot of promise as a 6’2 point guard with fluidity off the bounce along with elite defensive flashes. Within transition, Simpson possesses elite speed going north to south. He has the bounce required to block shots up by the rim, recording at least two blocks in his game versus Flash! Elite. Simpson hit a couple threes in that matchup as well, an area he could be dependable off the bounce given time. Woods brings unique two-way upside at the guard spot, he will be someone worth monitoring over these next few years.
Evan Duncan – Flash! Elite – Naaman Forest
At 6’4, Duncan plays with a noticeable physicality on both ends, significantly impacting how opposing teams plan their offense. What immediately surprised me with Duncan came from his smooth footwork and high level processing speed. In the low post, he was adept using spin moves as a means to create hook shots or high arcing finishes. Duncan possesses a sturdy frame with a plus wingspan, making him a nearly impossible matchup to go at directly. The young wing was easily one of the most effective rim protectors within the 15u division, largely due to his fundamental defensive abilities. The high upside aspect comes from his quick processing speed for passes, where he does great finding teammates upon rotations.
Cory Young Jr – NLU – Booker T Washington
Young Jr. is a diamond in the rough as a 5’7 combo guard with elite shooting upside. The guard has compensated for his height with a shot you will miss if you blink. He is type of player who can get you five or six threes with ease. Distance is a key part of his shooting abilities, where he can easily make shots out to the NBA line. Young had intriguing moments as a passer, where he found baseline cutters and corner shooters through narrow gaps. Young understands the need to be a lockdown defender, given his size limitations. His lateral mobility is nothing short of impressive, where he stuck onto opponents like glue.
DJ Woods – Flash! Elite – Plano East
At 6’6, Woods is a bullying forward who is simply dominant within fullcourt settings. At his size and speed moving north to south, Woods is a difficult matchup at the 15u level. Not many wings are capable going head to head with him, let alone without fouling. When doubled in the post or from drives, Woods shows promise as a passer going weakside or back out to the key.
