Logan Kunz Logan Kunz 6'5" | SF St. Michael-Albertville | 2023 MN — F — Minnesota Crossfire — 17U
Kunz caught fire in the second half for Minnesota Crossfire. In a blowout victory, the forward was able to show off his pure shooting stroke, as he drilled back-to-back triples. Kunz has great positional size for a forward, which he is able to use to rebound well and defend at a very high-level. Playing for a solid Minnesota Crossfire squad, I liked what I saw from Kunz on Saturday.
Jack Field — F — House Of Wellness All Stars — 17U
I have really liked what I have seen from Field this AAU season. The forward has introduced himself as a name to know in Wisconsin’s 2023 class. Field is very versatile as a scorer. He is capable of knocking down outside shots and has become very good at getting to his spots and scoring. Field is a long, lanky forward who has raised his stock significantly.
Sam Massaquoi Sam Massaquoi 5'11" | PG Robbinsdale Cooper | 2023 State MN — PG — Minnesota Grizzlies — 17U
Massaquoi is one of the fastest, most explosive point guard that I have had a chance to watch this spring. When the PG attacks the rim, there are not many defenders that can effectively stay in front of him. Massaquoi is also a very good ballhandler and finisher at the rim. Any college coaches still looking for a point guard in the 2023 class should take a look at Massaquoi.
Peter Lattos Peter Lattos 6'5" | SF West Salem | 2023 State WI — PF — Coulee Country — 17U
Lattos is a huge reason why Coulee Country was able to make its way into the Sweet Sixteen. And even though CC wasn’t able to get it done against Pentagon Schoolers, Lattos was still super impressive. I love how the power forward is able to use his size to fight down low in the paint. Lattos also showed flashes of offensive skill. The PF was able to knock down outside shots and displayed some fancy ball-handling skills.
Emmett Lawton Emmett Lawton 6'2" | SG Notre Dame Academy | 2023 State WI — SG — Team 1848 — 17U
Lawton is really fun to watch on the offensive end of the court. On Saturday, the shooting guard was able to display all of his skills. Lawton is known as a dead-eye shooter, and he certainly drilled outside shots in a win for Team 1848, but I was particularly impressed with Lawton’s ability to get buckets in the midrange. He did a great job of using his size and skill to get to his spots and finish.
Ethan Wall-Atim Ethan Wall-Atim 6'4" | PF Notre Dame De La Baie Academy | 2023 State WI — PF — Team 1848 — 17U
Wall-Atim probably isn’t ever going to be a prolific scorer, but the power forward is a guy that I would take on my squad ten times out of ten. He is very physical in the paint. The PF is always scrapping for rebounds or trying to block shots. And while it might not be his go-to, Wall-Atim is 100 percent capable of scoring in the paint.
