With Friday night’s action complete, the Prep Hoops Hard Work Region Finals are underway! I’ll be covering 15U action all week, let’s look at seven prospects who stood out on day one.
Landon Bull (6’3 2025 F, Quad City Shockers Orange)- Bull’s a stretch big that can do a bit of everything. He rebounds well and due to his ball handling skills, he’s able to grab defensive boards and take it coast-to-coast. When he’s at the rim, he does an excellent job of absorbing contact and finishing with both hands. Bull also showed flashes as a playmaker.
Christian WigginsChristianWiggins
6'3" | SG Wayzata | 2026StateMN(6’1 2026 G, Team Tyus 2026 Black)- With two blocks and two threes in the first couple of minutes of Friday night’s game, Wiggins was off to a hot start. He continued to thrive all game showing off his elite scoring and athleticism. Using a variety of moves, he gets to the rim with ease and finishes at a high level once there. Keep your eye on Wiggins as he continues to improve.
Daylen Sharper (6’2 G 2026, Team Tyus 2026 Black)- Sharper also scores extremely well around the rim and is an elite athlete. He is an extraordinary facilitator, attacks relentlessly, and is active on the O boards. As a lead guard, he’s a great ball handler and pushes the pace well for his squad. Sharper is another exciting young player; he and the rest of his team are playing up a year in the 15U division.
Hamze YusufHamzeYusuf
6'1" | PG Eden Prairie | 2026StateMN(6’0 G 2026, Team Tyus 2026 Black)- Yusuf was running the show offensively on Friday night; pushing the pace and dropping dimes. He uses speed and top-tier handles to fly by defenders. He does an excellent job setting up his teammates and always makes the right pass. He can score on his own and shoots the deep ball too. When Yusuf is in the game he’s constantly generating offense.
Jace McDermott (6’3 F 2025, 212 Basketball Academy)- McDermott is a confident player who plays the game very hard. He can do a bit of it all on both sides of the ball. He plays tough D on and away from the ball and displayed signs as a shot blocker. On the other end he can stretch the floor and hit the open 3, he finishes nicely through contact, and on occasion, McDermott showed glimpses as a ball handler and playmaker.
Tony Loria (6’5 F 2025, Inspired Athletics)- Loria plays above the rim and works hard on the glass. He’s great on the O boards, turning many second chance opportunities into lay-ups of his own or assists to open shooters. He uses his strength and physicality to his advantage in all aspects of his game. Where it seems most beneficial is when he’s driving through traffic and finishing at and above the rim. Loria seems to always be one of the hardest workers on the court, this has been a key to his success.
Cole WilcekColeWilcek
6'5" | PF Farmington | 2025StateMN(6’4 F 2025, Minnesota Fury Wilde)- Wilcek’s a force on the inside. He’s a great screener and he’s got phenomenal footwork. He and his front-court partners set each other up beautifully with high-low action and off-ball picks. He’s a controlling paint presence on both ends. Wilcek uses both hands well and has a soft touch around the basket. He can also extend his game to the perimeter and hit open jumpers.
