The Grit Region Finals were played in the Indianapolis area and featured many of the best independent grassroots programs in the Midwest. As we begin to recap the action from the weekend it only makes sense to start off by naming our All-Tournament teams. As the Regional Scout for the Prep Hoops Circuit Grit Region I have compiled first, second, and third teams for each age division. First, let’s highlight the 15u prospects.
First Team
Michael Cooper Michael Cooper 6'2" | PG Jeffersonville | 2025 State IN (Jeffersonville H.S. 2025/Team Teague 15u): Cooper saved some of his best basketball for the Grit Region Finals. The high-scoring guard was excellent on championship Sunday pouring in 25 points in the seminfinals followed by a 14 points in the title game. His offensive skill was a big reason why Team Teague dominated the circuit all spring and summer going undefeated.
Jeremiah Fears Jeremiah Fears 6'1" | PG AZ Compass Prep | 2025 State #31 Nation AZ (Joliet West H.S. 2025/Hoops 4 Health 17u): There aren’t many Class of 2025 prospects as talented as this dynamic guard. Fears already holds multiple high-major Division I offers and it doesn’t take long to see why. Playing up two age divisions, Fears is still one of the toughest guys to guard on the Prep Hoops Circuit. A few of his best performances at the Grit Region Finals include 25 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists…17 points, 4 assists…and 22 points, 6 assists. He is special!
Ty Glasper Ty Glasper 6'1" | PG Gatlinburg-Pittman | 2025 State TN (Gatlinburg-Pittman H.S. 2025/865 Elite 15u): This bruising, physical 6’1″ guard does a little bit of everything for his 865 Elite squad. Glasper had 16 points in their championship game loss and 19 points in a semifinal win over Chicago Hoops. The left-hander is very difficult to keep out of the paint. Excellent finisher.
Jacob Rice (St. Laurence H.S. 2025/Chicago Hoops 15u): Jones has a really polished offensive game for his age. The 6’3″ guard is a good three-point shooter off of the catch, handles it well enough to create his own shot in the mid-range, and loves to turn his drives into post moves where he uses his size and strength to finish. Love his vast repertoire of offensive moves. Rice had back-to-back 22 and 26 point games to help lead Chicago Hoops to the Grit Region semifinals.
Mark Zackery Mark Zackery 6'0" | PG Ben Davis | 2025 State #398 Nation IN (Ben Davis H.S. 2025/Team Teague 15u): There simply aren’t many players who impact the game on both ends like Zackery. If this was an award for the entire Prep Hoops Circuit throughout the spring and summer he would have a strong case for MVP. The super long point guard picked apart opposing defenses all weekend long and was the best defender in the gym. Regardless of the box score numbers, Zackery is always the most important player on the floor for Team Teague.
Second Team
Julius Gizzi Julius Gizzi 6'3" | SG New Palestine | 2025 State IN (New Palestine H.S. 2025/D1 Indiana-Gizzi 15u): Another Prep Hoops event, another big scoring weekend for this 6’3″ guard. Gizzi averaged just a hair short of 20 points per game during a 3-1 weekend for D1 Indiana. He is one of the more versatile scorers in Indiana’s Class of 2025.
Hudson Horvath Hudson Horvath 6'1" | PG Park Tudor | 2025 State IN (Park Tudor H.S. 2025/EG10 15u): Horvath continued his excellent summer averaging over 20 points per game for EG10 and leading them to the 15u semifinals. He led the team with 19 points in their loss to eventual tournament champion Team Teague. Excellent shooter that can get hot in a hurry.
Khalil Jones (St. Laurence H.S. 2025/Chicago Hoops 15u): 5’11″ super shifty guard that can make plays off of the bounce with the best of them. Jones put together a pair of 20-point performances while helping lead Chicago Hoops to the 15u semifinals. Great quickness, creative finisher, and has really good court vision.
Cade Murphy (Knoxville Catholic 2026/865 Elite 15u): We will including Murphy in this All-Tournament team despite the fact that he is a 2026 prospect. While playing at the 15u level, the 6’5″ wing showed his wide array of offensive skill with 865 Elite while on the way to a runner-up performance. Has one of the highest ceilings as a prospect as anyone on the Prep Hoops Circuit.
Drew Remlinger (Hilliard Davidson H.S. 2025/Mid-Ohio Pumas Sever 15u): Remlinger knows how to score the basketball. He got it done in a variety of ways all weekend long including in an impressive team win over D1 Indiana-Gizzi. Physical 6’2″ guard that scores it around the basket well but also has a lot of perimeter skill.
Third Team
Justin Bowen (Lincoln Park H.S. 2025/Grind Family Chicago 15u)
Eric Hopson Eric Hopson 6'0" | SG Decatur Central | 2025 IN (Decatur Central H.S. 2025/EG10 15u)
Cedric Horton Cedric Horton 6'4" | SG Richmond | 2025 State #321 Nation IN (Richmond H.S. 2025/Team Teague 15u)
Caleb Lindsey (St. Laurence H.S. 2025/Chicago Hoops 15u)
Kelin Mark Kelin Mark 6'2" | SG Park Tudor | 2025 State IN (Park Tudor 2025/Team Teague 15u)
