These guys really brought some real attention their way with how well they lead their teams and did all of the little things to affect the game on both ends of the court.
Quandre Coates 2025 6’5 Anahuac High School, TX (TJ Ford Basketball 2025)
Quandre has all the tools to become a skilled small ball forward or wing prospect at the next level with his unique blend of athleticism and strength. He was dominant during his time on the court, routinely finishing over his opponents and bullying them into bad positioning with his back to the basket. I was very impressed with the ease in which he was able to quickly score after collecting offensive rebounds. He finishes very consistently through contact as well, constantly fighting through his opponents out stretched arms. He has a great motor when fighting for positioning when a shot goes up and is very active on the glass. He has very consistent and workable shooting mechanics, which should be a good indicator that he can develop a shot from the perimeter. He calmly knocked down free throws at a good clip.
Defensively he is an elite rim protector, who seems to be willing to affect the game in any facet necessary. He is an aware help defender who stays vertically to affect his opponents and does not swipe down on them. He had a plethora of emphatic blocks, including a chase down block on the fast break. He smacked the ball with so much force you could hear it through the gym! His active hands also have a knack of stealing the ball right from his opponents as they attempt to go up with the ball. He had two instances in which he simply took the ball from his opponent. I would like to see him focus on boxing out his opponents first instead of relying on his size and athleticism to high point the ball every time.
Jayden Domino Jayden Domino 6'3" | SF South Grand Prairie | 2025 TX 2025 6’3 Grand Prarie High School, TX (Victory Academy 2025)
Jayden is an incredibly athletic prospect with his ability to dominate on the defensive end of the court with his ability to not only move laterally but explode vertically to protect the rim. An aspect of his game that I loved was how well he did anything necessary to keep them from having any success on the interior. He is an incredible help side defender, sliding over at just the right time and skying to touch the top of the square on the backboard in order to reject shots. He also uses his defensive prowess to affect ball handlers, constantly poking the ball free from them as they try to drive by his teammate. He constantly got a paw on the ball as they worked to turn the corner on their defender. His awareness on the defensive side of the ball was incredibly impressive, he was consistently timing up his opponents with ease. I was very impressed with the raw athletic abilities he put on display. You can tell he is an incredibly dynamic and impressive athlete, who looks to almost already be ready to compete at the next level with his blend of strength, speed, aggressiveness and willingness to do the dirty work. I would like to see him continue to develop his shot from the perimeter, as well as continuing to add more touch on his shot from the mid-post and a floater.
Jordan Matthews Jordan Matthews 6'0" | PG Vandebilt Catholic | 2025 State LA 2025 5’10 Vanderbilt Catholic, LA (G4WYW 2025)
Jordan is a sharpshooting guard who is great at getting to his spots with a live dribble and calmly rising up to score off the bounce. He is great at manipulating the defense with his handle and getting into the teeth of the defense. He has a crafty handle that he uses to dominate in most one on one situations. He fearlessly attacks defenders with fancy crossovers and step backs. He is great at manipulating the defense with his head-fakes and out of the triple threat. He is a sure shooter off the catch, calmly scoring at a very high clip when given any bit of daylight. His threat to score from the perimeter allows him to be a complete three level threat, forcing the opposing team to close out on him hard. Matthews is a sure play-maker and scorer, with all of the tools to become a high level combo guard at the next level.
Kaden Lawson Williams 2026 6’8 Batesville Southside Junior High School, AR (Arkansas Ducks 2025)
Kaden is a high level forward who confidently scores with his back to the basket, and with his energy on the glass and willingness to do the dirty work on the interior, matched with his young age and tremendous frame, the sky is the limit for this young man. I was very impressed with how well he used his strength to explode to the rim. His strength and dominance around the rim was very impressive, especially considering he is a year younger than his opponents. He quickly attacked defenders before a second defender could come, and sealed his opponents off on both ends of the court. Defensively, he is an elite rim protector who strikes fear into his opponent’s hearts. He had multiple emphatic blocks that forced his opponents to think twice about attacking downhill. I would like to see him continue to develop his overall foot speed and lateral agility.
Vontae Sanders 2025 6’5 Sherman High School, TX (Sparks Basketball 2025)
Vontae probably should be classified as a guard with his ability to handle the ball and score in bunches off the bounce, however he is great at using his frame to lock up any position on the floor. He has all of the tools to become an elite 3 or 4 at the next level with his switch-ability and affect the game from the perimeter and his ability to get into the paint. I was blown away with his ability to do it all on every facet of the game on both ends of the floor. He is a high level scorer off the dribble who calmly knocks down shots over the top of his opponent’s head. He is an intelligent player who threatened the defense in the paint during the first half of competition, and lived at the rim and showed off his ability to back down a smaller opponent when playing with another big man. In the second half, he operated the pick and roll with his big man and knocked down shots from the perimeter. I was blown away with his ability to score in transition and consistently attack and finish at the rim.
