I focused my attention to the local players and here were some of the standouts:
Carson Grier Carson Grier 6'7" | SF Valley Christian | 2025 State AZ Valley Christian (AZ Gremlins 2025)
A smooth wing looks better every time I see him. He showed a smooth stroke and excellent court awareness. He will be even more of a tough cover as he gets older and naturally puts on muscle.
Ryan Leggitt SG 6’0 2025 Chandler (AZ Gremlins 2025)
When I saw him the first thing you notice is his energy. He was a vocal leader out there as well as showing a nice touch from the perimeter. He smartly gets to his spots on the floor and is an effective player.
Uriah Tenette Uriah Tenette 5'10" | PG Prescott | 2025 State AZ Prescott (NM D1 2025)
A quick guard who is a true point guard. He was looking to set up his teammates and equally getting to his spots for his shots. He has some bounce to his game indicated on a block where the bigger opponent thought it was gonna be easy to go up on him. He sent the shot right back to where it cam from
Zane Gaul Zane Gaul 6'10" | C Prescott | 2025 State AZ Prescott (NM D1 2025)
Zane is a traditional big who is a load when he plants himself in the painted area. There were multiple times where defenders were helpless under the rim trying to move him out of the way. He also showed progress as a rebounder and a rim runner.
Jake Miller Jake Miller 5'11" | PG Rancho Solano Preparatory | 2024 State AZ Rancho Solano Prep (Hoop Society 2024) (Featured Image)
A jitterbug guard is hard to contain. He seemed to be all over the place. His jumper was on and he was finding open teammates with pinpoint passing.
Bradey Henige Bradey Henige 7'0" | C Cactus | 2024 State #192 Nation AZ Cactus (D1 Nation AZ 2024)
The Cactus forward continues to impress with his combination of size and skill. As usual he was a load to handle in the paint. He’s getting more and more comfortable on the perimeter. There were even times when he was leading the break.
Kaleb Hilliard Kaleb Hilliard 5'10" | PG AZ Compass Prep | 2025 State AZ AZ Compass Prep (Team RHJ 16U)
This point guard is always on the attack by putting pressure on the defense. He uses a tight handle to keep defenders on their heels, but what I really liked about him was his constant use of the mid range pull up jumper.
