Continue ReadingWith their 16u AAU seasons winding down and their Junior seasons coming up this winter, the 2024 class is taking shape as some kids have moved way up with this update. Here’s a look at the top 10 players in the updated 2024 rankings.
Travis Perry Travis Perry 6'2" | PG Lyon County | 2024 State #115 Nation KY , Lyon County – Travis has been one of the hottest recruits in America for the last few months and has earned offers from about every high major school in the midwest including Kentucky. The sharpshooter had a huge game against Xavier Booker and Cathedral at Collins last month and showed he can compete against the best in America. He’s likely a lock to keep the top spot for a while in this class.
Ayden Evans Ayden Evans 6'9" | C Elizabethtown | 2024 State KY , Elizabethtown – Ayden moves back up to second in the class as he rides a ride of momentum from high major offers that have come in the last 6-8 weeks. Evans has the length and upside that coaches covet and could parlay that into more high major offers as soon as this week. His stock continues to trend way up.
Damone King Damone King 6'0" | PG DeSales | 2024 State KY , Manual – King is another player who already holds multiple D1 offers and should have ample opportunity to earn more this month with a strong Power Circle 16u team. Damone is a tough and shifty guard who can get downhill in a hurry. He has a high IQ and a knack for making plays for himself and others.
Trent Noah Trent Noah 6'7" | SF Harlan County | 2024 State #139 Nation KY , North Laurel – Noah had a tremendous high school season but an ankle injury cost him the June live period and this week in Spartanburg. Once he gets back to 100%, Trent should be able to show coaches why NKU and Coastal Carolina have already offered. A big guard with a ton of skill, Noah is an elite shooter at 6’6.
Drae Vasser Drae Vasser 6'1" | PG Trinity | 2024 State KY , Trinity – One of the big movers this update, Drae earned his first D1 offers last month after the Collins live event and should see more come his way in the upcoming weeks. Vasser has a knack for taking and making big shots and has shown the ability to get paint touches consistently where he’s able to finish at a high level.
Brett Decker Brett Decker 6'2" | PG Central Hardin | 2024 State #211 Nation KY , Central Hardin – The recipient of his first D1 offer last month, Decker is another super talented guard who has shown he can score the ball at every level and is an advanced playmaker. Brett is one of the best players in the class at getting into the paint and causing defenses to collapse. Add to the fact that he’s a knockdown shooter and Decker is a matchup problem for most teams he comes across.
Jimmy Cami Jimmy Cami 6'9" | C Apollo | 2024 State PA , Apollo – The mystery man who arrived in Owensboro at the start of last season still hasn’t played a varsity game for the Eagles but he shined at the Next Up Recruits camp last weekend and is playing up on 17u with the EYBL this month. He could end up with a long list of college suitors by this time next month.
Jay Rose Jay Rose 6'4" | SG Madison Southern | 2024 State KY , Madison Southern – Rose is skilled and athletic and can score the ball from all over. At 6’3, Jay is capable of playing on or off the ball and has deep range on his jump shot. He holds an early offer from Southern Alabama and could earn more offers this month playing up on the 17u level.
Kaydon Custard Kaydon Custard 6'2" | PG Harrison County | 2024 State KY , Harrison County – One of the toughest players in the class, Custard takes pride in locking up the opposing team’s best player but can also lead his team in scoring any given night. Kaydon is a three sport star who plays QB and runs track and has shown the potential to be a college athlete in any of the three.
Max Green Max Green 6'6" | CG Oldham County | 2024 State KY , Oldham County – Green plays hard and with a high skill level. He’s an excellent passer and knows how to move without the ball on offense. He has good size as a combo guard but projects to be a shooting guard in college as he knocked down 40% of his three point attempts last year for Oldham and is at his best when he’s cutting through the defense for open looks.
