Noah Smith Noah Smith 6'4" | SF Reynoldsburg | 2024 State OH , 6’4 SF Reynoldsburg 2024 Nova 16U: Smith was the top scorer on a Nova 16 U squad that has been solid on the UA Rise circuit this year. Smith is a volume shooter from the outside and when he got hot, Nova broke away from D1 Indiana. I like Smith’s scoring mentality combined with his athleticism and outside shooting ability. Smith also made some smart cuts without the ball to make himself available. I expect Smith to end up being recruited by scholarship programs next spring and summer.
Jonah Lewis Jonah Lewis 6'1" | SG Worthington Christian | 2024 State OH , 6’1 SG Worthington Christian 2024 Nova 16U: Lewis came off the bench and doesn’t blow you away physically, but I was really impressed with his finishing ability around the basket. Lewis is a solid below the rim finisher, using both hands around the hoop to score. Lewis also had a sweet reverse lefty layup where he spun the ball around and used the rim as protection from shot blockers. Lewis can also space the floor by making open shots as well.
Seth LaRavia Seth LaRavia 6'6" | PF Pendelton Heights | 2024 State IN , 6’5 PF Westfield 2024 D1 Indiana 16U: LaRavia is an interesting prospect with his unique combination of skill and size. LaRavia is a bigger bodied post player, but he has the ball skills to put it on the floor and punish a defense off the bounce. LaRavia also shot the ball well from the outside. If LaRavia can grow and turn some of his fat into muscle, you could see a much more explosive and interesting prospect. I’d focus on weight room development in the immediate future, because his fundamentals are solid already.
Jaden Calloway Jaden Calloway 6'2" | SG Bishop Hartley | 2025 State OH , 6’1 PG Bishop Hartley 2025 Nova 15U: Nova’s 15 U squad had a showdown between 7-1 squads on the UA Rise circuit, and Calloway led his team to victory. I was impressed with Calloway’s ability to finish with both hands around the basket and his decisiveness to throw the ball ahead to his teammates. Calloway is a quick point guard who also got after it defensively, which is the strength of this Nova squad.
Nehemiah McMorris Nehemiah McMorris 6'7" | C Northland | 2025 State OH , 6’6 C Gahanna 2025 Nova 15U: McMorris was a prospect I didn’t know anything about heading into today, and he left me quite impressed. McMorris was active around the basket, fighting for offensive rebounds and contesting shots. McMorris moves well for a guy his size and showed the ability to catch passes and finish around the basket. Gahanna graduates a ton of production from last season and McMorris could be a guy who sees some major minutes on a new look squad in 2022-23.
Carson Vis Carson Vis 6'3" | PG Grand Rapids South Christian | 2025 State MI , 6’3 SF Grand Rapids South Christian 2025 Grand Rapids Storm 15U: Vis and his Grand Rapids Storm team were rolling heading into this game and despite coming up short against Nova, Vis impressed me a lot with his play. Vis was active defensively, calling out screens and communicating with his teammates. Vis also made open shots and had some tough finishes around the basket. This is a Grand Rapids Storm squad that could be really special if they all stay together and Vis is a key piece of that puzzle.
