As colleges around the country put the finishing touches on the Class of 2022 the focus will quickly shift to the Class of 2023. June is also a popular month for some visits to take place so we will be keeping an eye on those as well. We will try and get back to having this be a weekly recurring segment on the website so you can stay up to date on all of the latest recruiting news.
- Kanon Catchings Kanon Catchings 6'8" | PF Overtime Elite (GA) | 2024 #31 Nation GA (Brownsburg H.S. 2024) earned his first Division I scholarship offer from Purdue on Wednesday. Now a legitimate 6’7″ on the wing, Catchings has great catch-and-shoot ability with an ever improving game off of the bounce. He had an outstanding spring with Indy Heat EYBL 16u.
- On Thursday, Cayden Vasko (Bosco Institute 2022) that he would be reclassifying to the Class of 2023 and attending Bosco Prep. Vasko, a 6’4″ guard who played this spring with Team GRIII Elite, was one of the top uncommitted prospects in the class. Over the weekend, he earned his first Division I offer from Central Michigan while attending their elite camp.
- 6’6″ point guard Jalen Haralson Jalen Haralson 6'7" | PG La Lumiere | 2025 #8 Nation IN (Fishers H.S. 2025), a top 25 prospect in the country, added an offer from Missouri on Tuesday. He also has scholarship opportunities at Maryland, Indiana, and Purdue. Haralson played his spring AAU ball with Indy Heat EYBL 16u, playing up an age division.
- Jermaine Coleman Jermaine Coleman 6'7" | SF Park Tudor | 2023 State IN (Park Tudor 2023) added an offer from Wright State on Friday afternoon. The 6’7″ wing competed in the Indiana-Kentucky Junior All-Star game on Sunday afternoon at Bedford North Lawrence High School.
- Division III Manchester University hosted a couple of visitors and extended offers to both of them while on campus. 6’3″ sharpshooter Jackson Price Jackson Price 6'2" | SG Mishawaka Marian | 2023 State IN (Mishawaka Marian 2023) and 6’6″ forward Dalman Alexander Dalman Alexander 6'6" | PF Fort Wayne Northrop | 2023 State IN (Fort Wayne Northrop H.S. 2023) both checked out the Spartans campus. Both prospects have had great spring seasons competing with 5Star Basketball and Summit City Elite respectively. Devon Woods Devon Woods 5'10" | PG Pike | 2023 State IN (Pike H.S. 2023) was also on Manchester’s campus relatively recently.
- In another couple pieces of news that aren’t exactly recruiting related…
- 6’11″ 5-star forward Xavier Booker Xavier Booker 6'11" | PF Cathedral | 2023 State #4 Nation IN (Cathedral 2023) will be competing at the Pangos All-American Camp in Las Vegas from Sunday through Tuesday. He will playing on the “Duke” team with games available via live stream HERE. Also in Vegas this weekend for Pangos All-American Camp is 6’2″ guard K.J. Windham K.J. Windham 6'3" | PG Ben Davis | 2024 State #137 Nation IN (Ben Davis H.S. 2024) who is playing with “Notre Dame.” Garwey Dual Garwey Dual 6'5" | PG Carmel | 2023 #113 Nation CA-S (Carmel H.S. 2023) is there as well.
- On the transfer front, Jaedin Reyna will be suiting up for Bishop Noll Institute this coming season. The Class of 2024 point guard was one of the top prospects in the state of Illinois at St. Rita High School. Another high profile transfer happened this week with 6’7″ forward Anthony Ball Anthony Ball 6'6" | PF Decatur Central | 2023 State IN moving to Crispus Attucks from Beech Grove. Ball had 17 points and 21 rebounds while leading Beech Grove to the Class 3A state championship last season.
