Continue ReadingSt.Pauls HS Senior Marcus Galbreath will be a name to keep a close eye on throughout the summer and next season as a potential player that could raise his stock. A legit 6’7/6’8 Forward that has all the tools to be a dominant rebounder and shot blocker which are both attributes that can translate to the next level. He still is finding his way as an offensive threat, but he has shown some potential on various occasion to score inside and out.
Fairmont HS Junior Gabriel Washington was a bright spot for his team, using his speed to get to the spots that he wanted, making plays for himself and his teammates. He didn’t turn the ball over often and despite being smaller in height, he wasn’t afraid to attack the paint against bigs.
St.Pauls HS Freshman Tyson Thompson Tyson Thompson 6'9" | C St Paul's | 2026 State NC is a name to know for the future without a doubt! The son of a coach that already stands at 6’6 entering his freshman year of high school, you can see why we are excited about his potential. Had a solid showing rebounding the ball, showed some ability to play with his back to the basket and blocked shots at a nice rate.
This was the second time that we got the chance to see Scotland County Senior Forward Lamontae Cousar this week and we left just as intrigued as the first time. His ability to play inside the paint but also step out and knock down shots at times was pretty impressive. The next step for him will be to constantly stay aggressive to attack the basket, which we saw on a few occasions during their final game of the day. When he attacks instead of settling, he becomes much more dangerous as an offensive player which will only raise his potential recruitment level.
St Pauls HS Junior Elijah Blanding looks like he will be ready to make a larger impact for his squad next season, especially with his ability to score from the Guard spot which is something they will truly need. He got into the paint, knocked down shots from three-point land and displayed some solid ballhandling skills.
