does it all. He packs a dynamic offensive punch that always keeps defenses spinning. Rechsteiner’s steady climb to become one of the elite in Georgia has been fun to watch.
2023 6-6 C Larry Crawford – Monroe Area
Big Larry will be a big part of what Monroe Area does defensively and will be important in how the Hurricanes control the backboards. The defensive end weighs 240 pounds, an intimidating presence in the paint. He replaces double-double machine Damareon Whitner as Monroe Area’s primary post. Larry runs the floor well and gobbles up misses. He’s active on the glass, able to get his paws on tip-ins. Expect Larry to be the enforcer downlow his senior season and a potential X-Factor in some games.
2023 6-0 G Dre Newell – Monroe Area
The Newell bloodline runs deep with playmakers. Dre is a sneaky good passer that drives the paint and looks to drop off assists at the last second while getting defenders to commit to him. Newell plays with a high motor and can be seen chasing the ball all over the floor on defense. His energy and court vision are invaluable when the Hurricanes play fast.
2024 6-2 CG Joshua Quarterman – Johnson-Savannah
New to Johnson from Bethesda Academy, Quarterman brings another scoring threat to the Atomsmasher backcourt. Joshua averaged 12.8 points as a sophomore. He’s a wiry guard that can turn corners and score inside. Quarterman does a good job of using the rim to shield his layups away from shot blockers. He is a steady rebounder from the guard position and can help defend 1-3.
2023 6-6 F Jalen Colbert – SACA
Colbert has intriguing size. He’s a long forward that does most of his scoring in the paint, but can step outside on the wing in spurts. Jalen does a good job getting on the glass, drawing fouls as he snatches up rebounds. He has very good mobility, able to run the floor and help guard on the perimeter in switches. Colbert is a sleeper candidate. Stay tuned.

brings to the table every time he steps on the floor. He’s a physical bruiser inside that battles for rebounds and scores with his back to the basket. Williams has nice post moves and scores with either hand. His baby hooks are a thing of beauty and he even stepped outside to drill a straight away three vs. Newton. You know exactly what you’ll get from London each game.
