Isaiah Williams Beavercreek
Williams impressed me in Beavercreek’s postseason run and picked up where that left off on Saturday. The lefty guard has unreal athleticism and one of the more explosive players I’ve seen in the 2025 class. Initiates the contact on the perimeter and keeps a good handle after getting bumped around. Williams has a chance to be a special player for the Beavers and be a possible GWOC POY candidate in the next 2 years.
Bj Hatcher Bj Hatcher 6'1" | PG Northmont | 2025 State OH Dunbar
Hatcher might be the only other 2025 guard in Dayton more explosive than Isaiah Williams. The rising sophomore looks more composed and more explosive off the perimeter than a year ago. His shiftiness around the rim might be one of his best features as he can score around much taller bodies. Hatcher’s breakdown on the perimeter is quick and difficult to stay in front of.
Austin Niekamp Austin Niekamp 6'8" | PF Marion Local | 2025 State OH Marion Local
Niekamp played well for the Flyers on a weekend where they were without Jack Knapke Jack Knapke 6'8" | C Marion Local | 2024 State OH . Niekamp has great hands and body control/posture on his post moves. Secured the ball and was firm with his post ups. Finished plenty of shots around the rim and was unphased by defenses. Once Knapke is back, there will be few teams in NW Ohio that can match the Flyers size and they are poised for another deep postseason run.
Charlie Uhl Charlie Uhl 6'7" | C Kettering Alter | 2025 State OH Alter
Uhl did not get as many minutes as I had hoped for the Knights in the games I watched. At 6-foot-8, he has the length the Knights will miss in Jacob Conner departure. Uhl impressed me with his scoring with back to the basket. Keeps the ball high and can score over his shoulder. Defends straight up-and-down while keeping composed as a defender. Uhl should fit in well with the Knights upperclassmen guards and could have a breakout year in the GCL.
