6’5 F Cris Carroll – Osborne/TSF
Carroll is an explosive athlete that’s capable of filling up the scoresheet quickly. He’s aggressive driving to the basket and a strong finisher around the rim. Carroll’s unique combination of strength and skill allow him to score in a multitude of ways. He punishes smaller guards inside and can make bigger forwards pay with his handle and outside shot. Carroll also runs the floor extremely well getting lots of easy buckets in transition.
6’3 G Ryan Brown – Fayette County/Georgia Fire
Ryan Brown is a slashing guard that possesses great body control and finishing ability. While Brown has shown the ability to create his own shot in the half-court, he’s most dangerous in a fast-paced game where he can get out and run in transition. Brown has also shown a consistent mid-range game, usually pulling up off the dribble.
6’3 G BJ Djibo – Peachtree Ridge/XXII Premier
Djibo is a combo guard that can affect that game in a variety of ways. He’s a solid ball-handler that could play either guard position. One aspect of Djibo’s game that makes him extremely dangerous is his change of pace. This allows him to create space and take his defender off the dribble. When you also consider his leaping ability and court vision, Djibo is an intriguing all-around prospect.
6’4 G Alahn Sumler – Buford/Team SMASH
Alahn Sumler is a scoring guard with a deadly outside shot and sneaky athleticism. While Sumler’s role for Buford was more of a shot-creator, his spring with Team SMASH has shown he’s capable of much more. He’s shown impressive playmaking ability, using his quick handle to beat defenders and create easy shots for his teammates. Sumler recently picked up his first D1 offer from Northern Kentucky but I wouldn’t be surprised if a few more programs joined the conversation before he decides.
6’5 G Fabian Desilva – Eagles Landing/Atlanta Celtics
Desilva is a do-it-all wing that can change the game with his physicality and athleticism. He attacks the rim hard and uses his body well when driving to the hoop. If you give him space, he’ll make you pay from deep. Desilva plays the game with a level of patience and maturity that prove he’s ready for the college game. There’s no good reason why Desilva is still available. Simply, Desilva belongs with a D1 program.
