Summer basketball for high school teams is underway with quality games talking place all over the state of Michigan. The Compound Athletics is putting on a series of summer games in The Summer Tune Up Vol: 2. There will be some interesting matchups throughout the event. In Week 1 the games and the results were as follows:

Fraser v. Rochester

Rochester defeated Fraser in the tightest of the 3 contests. They won by a final score of 50-48.

Cass Tech v. Lakeshore

Cass Tech won in an 86-14 game. They looked very good with high level talent and the discipline to go with it. 

Dakota v. Stevenson

Dakota pulled away with a 46-33 victory. They displayed toughness and impressive team defense. 

Players Of The Game

For each contest, The Compound Athletics named a Player Of The Game. 

Elijah Kalaj (2023, SF, Rochester)

Kalaj made his name known at The Summer Tune Up. He works hard off the ball and has a nice looking stroke on his jumper. Kalaj had the look of a confident shooter. He’s a prospect to make note of heading into next season.
