The Hofstra team camp gave us a great opportunity to see some new faces.

Richie Montalvo. 5”11 2026 Island Trees

The eight grader showed confidence to shoot it. Excellent at the catch and shoot. Also scores through contact.

Joe Mainente. 6”0. 2025. Island Trees

Outstanding defender. A slasher type player. Gets to the rim and finishes,

Billy Murphy 5”10. 2023 Deer Park.

Tough fearless player. Can shoot it off the catch.

Tommy Synder 6”5 2024 St Anthonys

High basketball IQ. Big man who knows how to play the post. Good footwork enables him to score inside. He is a presence in the lane on the defensive end.

Caleb Aurelian 6”3 2023 St Anthonys

When Caleb is on the floor he is usually guarding the opposing teams best player. Guards the perimeter or inside effectively. Has good size and great potential. Very athletic active player.

[player_tooltip player_id="1361740" first="Hao" last="Chen"] 6”4 2024 St Francis Prep

Played some big minutes last year as a freshman and will be a main point of emphasis this coming season. With graduations of some top talent, Hao showed at this team camp he will be ready to go. A tremendous post defender. Tough rebounder in traffic. Has an excellent frame and uses it well. A player we are excited to watch develop.
